Come join 30 MPS Adventures and ride on a Royal Enfield in Nepal, one of the best places in the world to do adventure riding. This motorcycle tour is something to remember all your life. If you came to Nepal to see mountains, this is the tour for you! Ride through the sacred Hindu town of Muktinath, where century old temples are carved into the hillside, eagles soar overhead, and glacial rivers wind their way through snow-capped peaks. This tour is not for the faint-hearted as you ride through a variety of terrains. You will experience water crossings, rocky ascents, suspension bridges, and the occasional bit of sand. And all of them on a Royal Enfield Himalayan.
All accommodations are included in a shared room basis. If you want a single room, you will have an extra cost. In Nepal, you will sleep in the best of each area but as you move away from civilization the infrastructures are scarce: normally they are rooms with two beds and a bathroom (except one night) and up on the mountain there will be two or three cold nights, and there may be little hot water that couple of days. It's part of the adventure!
You will arrive in Nepal on Friday afternoon. After managing the visa and entering the country, a bus will be waiting for the group to take you to a hotel in the center of the city in the Thamel neighborhood to spend the first night, take a walk to start opening your mind to this exciting destination, and have dinner together. If you arrive on your own, you travel and stay at the hotel directly.
You will take the first hour of the morning to take a walk, see the famous Durbar Square, and take some pictures. Afterwards, you will take a very short local flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara: place where the tour begins (do not forget to sit to the right to see the mountains during the flight).
You will have the afternoon to leave things at the hotel, take a walk through the town, have a drink, see the lake, and more before doing a tour briefing (explanation of the trip), meet your Royal Enfield and the local team of 30mps that will accompany you during the tour. Enjoy dinner with the group and get ready for tomorrow.
You will start the route eastwards to get away from the Pokhara traffic. Soon, you will see what awaits you in the coming days. You will finish by narrow roads going up to the spectacular town of Bandipur, a place where you will feel like you go back 200 years in time. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Himalayas. You may spend some time to enjoy a stroll through its hidden streets, then sleep in a cozy hotel and dine on typical Nepali food.
A long day of narrow roads awaits you to live the daily life of the Nepalese. Today, you will leave Bandipur, going west to get closer to the Kali Gandakhi River, which will accompany you the rest of the trip with its spectacular gorge. The final part of the route will be a climb up a broken track, arriving at a hidden accommodation where you will be alone. Here, you will have dinner around a bonfire.
Start the toughest day of the tour with a vertical ascent in the Himalayas. You will go from 1,000 meters high to almost 2,500 meters and you will see how the landscape changes as you climb, with less and less vegetation and higher mountains. The region is changing with more Buddhist influence as you ascend, with small and beautiful temples and monasteries in all mountain villages.
You will start the day making a spectacular loop between forests, to resume then the track that continues to the north. You will eat in the beautiful town of Marpha and pass through Jomson, known to be the last small airport in the area for mountaineers who come to make ascents to the Annapurnas. You will cross suspension bridges, ford infinite rivers... The landscape changes remarkably, to such a point that you will have the sensation of being on the moon. You will sleep in Kagbeni where we will enjoy a Yak steak.
Today you reach the highest point, more than 3,800 meter high. In the morning, you will take a stroll through Kagbeni, visiting the Buddhist monastery to resume with the bikes for a while the new asphalt road towards Muktinah. At the top, you will visit the sacred Hindu-Buddhist temple and enjoy a Yak burger in front of the majestic Dhaulagiri (8,179 meters).
To avoid altitude sickness, you will begin to descend back through a little known route but with spectacular tracks and incredible views. You will sleep in Marpha, a nice and curious town of narrow streets where you can walk and buy some souvenirs.
You will start the day by narrow and fun trails on the other side of the river before taking the main path to Tatopani, and take a bath in its hot springs, which after a few days on the heights you will surely appreciate some hot pools. Here you will be amazed to realize where you have spent a couple of days before.
Today you will return to civilization, and half a day back to set foot on asphalt but before you will have to pass the longest suspension bridge in Nepal. After lunch, you will take to Pokhara on a spectacular and well-known paragliding route. You have had some incredible days, and tonight you will celebrate a dinner of the whole group to share experiences, photos, and laughs.
The local flight to Kathmandu departs at noon, so you can enjoy a quiet morning or have a Pokara lake walk, last minute shopping, a relaxing cup of coffee, and pack all your things before returning home. Remember that maybe you want to take advantage and stay a couple of days more on your own in Kathmandu... it's not a bad idea.
This trip includes many tracks that in general is where the premises transit to reach the villages: motorcycles, buses or trucks use these roads. On the one hand it gives you the assurance that if they pass, you pass. But also some parts are more broken, there is dust and stones. Until now, people with little experience or even a couple have come and at their own pace they are gradually getting it. If you have that adventurous spirit, do not hesitate.
In the tour of Nepal, you can come accompanied although there are several days that the passenger may have to go in the 4 × 4 support. It will also depend on the skill of the rider.
On this tour, in addition to the two local motorcycle guides, there will be a Spanish 30mps guide at all times, as well as a support car with another staff member. You will always be supported.
If your motorcycle breaks down, you don't need to worry. The mechanics are prepared to solve almost all unforeseen events. All of 30 MPS Adventures' tour participants have always finished the tour with their motorcycle!

Since it opened its borders to outsiders in the 1950s, this tiny mountain nation has seduced travelers with almost mystical charm.
