This is a motorcycle tour for intermediate to advanced riders who want to explore Palomino, Cabo de la Vela, and more. You will have a great time going through refreshing coastal and majestic mountain roads. Your days are filled with beautiful scenery and great opportunities for photos to take home with you!

You will stay at various accommodations along the route. The first night will be at a hostel in Manaure. The second night will be spent in a shared private room in Cabo de la Vela. The third night will be spent in a shared dorm room at the famous, El Rio Hostel in Buritaca.

Program

Day 1: Santa Marta - Manaure (246 kilometers/153 miles)

  • Starts at 9 a.m.
  • Take the back roads through Paso del Mango
  • Visit the traditional fishing town of Dibulla for a Colombian style lunch
  • Riding tour around the salt flats in Manaure
  • Watch the sunset on the beach in Manaure

Day 2: Manaure - Cabo de la Vela (120 kilometers/75 miles)

  • Go through the winding trails and desert flats through the desert
  • Enter the desert through Cabo de la Vela
  • Ride around Cabo de la Vela and visit all the sites with an indigenous guide
  • Have fresh seafood and cheap beers for dinner

Day 3: Cabo de la Vela - Buritaca (276 kilometers/172 miles)

  • Italian wood fire pizza at Prima Luna and check out the beach in Palomino
  • All you can drink river tubing down the Buritca River
  • Stay at the famous El Rio Hostel in Buritaca

Day 4: Buritaca - Santa Marta (85 kilometers/53 miles)

  • Ride through the breathtaking Sierra Nevada mountains
  • Have lunch on the beach at La Brisa Tranquila
  • Go swimming and cliff jumping at Quebrada Valencia
  • Finishes at 3 p.m.
