You will not be able to resist their wellness packages including delightful massages with warm, refined oils, cappuccino whirlpool baths with milk, or soothing steam baths that will wash your tension and troubles away. Vapors and aromas are important protagonists of the wellness oasis and the saunas. You will feel the aroma of the Alps in the aromatic sauna, enjoy the mountain crystal sauna, or relax on the water mattress beds in the relaxation area in an environment that smells of pine.
Waterbeds to relax and unwind, surrounded by natural interior design with the stone pine fragrance that helps lower your heart rate and make you feel at ease. Soft lighting completes the atmosphere. The classical hot and dry Finnish sauna is made entirely out of wood. It helps improve the immune system, relax, and purify. In the herbal sauna, three different kinds of herbs are used (Alpine fragrances). These fragrances are accompanied by relaxing light effects.
Mountain Barn is a traditional bath that awakens your senses with the aroma of dry hay, whilst laying down on a soft layer of mountain grass. Usually, you will come back between 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. depending on the tour. This means that you will still have plenty of time to explore the entire spa BelSana (1200 square meters) which is included in the price (a swimming pool in a rock with water jets, and various kinds of saunas). The solarium, whirlpool, massages, and beauty treatments need to be paid separately. Almhof Call Hotel has an entire cupboard dedicated to all the necessary products needed to clean and lubricate your bike.
You will also find paste for cleaning plastic and metal. If you were to come back after a day of rain, Almhof Call Hotel offers a regular laundry service. They have covered parking for motorbikes. However, they do not have a garage. Nonetheless, they assure you that their area is a very safe place and you can even forget your keys in the car (this has already happened). The BMW tester moto rent is available all day. The number of kilometers that you can do is limitless.
The moto will be given the evening before or the morning of the same day. However, it is not possible to book the motos in advance, as other pilots want to test them as well. You will get your moto with a full tank, and Almhof Call Hotel kindly asks you to return your moto in the same way.
The only condition is that you have to have a driving license. This is a requirement imposed by BMW and they are obliged to respect their rules. The reason is quite simple since the bad weather, unexpected tire problems, or any kind of other problem with the vehicle would provoke an unexpected booking cancellation, and this could be very annoying for you.
Furthermore, the BMW motorbikes are test bikes and not bikes for rent. This is also the reason why they are so convenient. However, until today, no guest has ever gone home with empty hands.
Your family is always welcome at Almhof Call Hotel. They offer an alternative program with guided tours, for example, Nordic walking. You are welcome to take advantage of the 1200-square-meter wellness center Belsana with a swimming pool in a rock, three different kinds of sauna, a relaxing area with hay and water beds, bathrobes, and towels for the duration of the entire stay.
Furthermore, Almhof Call Hotel offers free mountain bike rental and they can organize the following upon request: rafting, canoeing, tandem paragliding, rock climbing (with the famous guide, Simon Kehrer), zip line, and Segway. If you arrive at the hotel with your motorbike but have too much luggage, Almhof Call Hotel can help you with your luggage in this way. Please send your bags off in advance and start your journey with calm and without stress.
All of this is possible with the help of the luggage transfer company Insam Express. With this service, you can send off bags, suitcases, rucksacks, and even skis directly from your home to the Almhof Call Hotel.
The riders have to bike every kind of curve and turn on paved roads. Sometimes the roads are really narrow and tiny. You will encounter regular traffic in both directions. Medium to good skill levels are required since there is a vast quantity of curves and turns.
You will experience the Dolomites in a very special way as you are guided personally by the host family and local guides respectively who will show you old smuggler streets and hidden alpine passes.
While conquering the passes, you can enjoy the wonderful landscape of South Tyrol and the Dolomites with its rugged cliffs and enchanted lakes. Discover mysterious castles and medieval villages. Experience your adventure far off the main streets, at places where no navigation device could guide you to.
In the evening, you can relax in the wellness area and enjoy the delicious and award-winning cuisine of the four-star superior hotel at the Kronplatz. At the end of the program, you will receive your Dolomites tour ride award.
You will check in at the hotel from 2:00 p.m. Enjoy the afternoon in the spa area, in the hotel, or get to know the beautiful alpine village of Dolomites San Vigilio, a UNESCO World Heritage at 1,200 meters above sea level. It is a real gem with a unique culture and language, the Ladin, the oldest still-spoken language in Europe. After dinner, you can meet the other participants of the Dolomites tour ride at the hotel bar.
For those who want to recover from the journey, the day is at leisure. The area is also ideal for hiking, mountain, or e-bike tours. If you cannot do without motorcycling, you have the opportunity to rent a BMW Motorrad test bike for a low price. If you travel with your own motorcycle, you can go on an independent tour to get familiar with the roads in the Dolomites.
The route is planned ad hoc for each rider. In the evening, there will be a welcome aperitif where all participants will meet for the first time.
The meeting point will be at 8:45 a.m. for the joint briefing. The guide will briefly explain the rules of conduct and give a few tips and tricks for riding a motorcycle in the group or in the Dolomites as the curves and turns in the Dolomites can be very narrow and confusing and the roads can have very different floor coverings. The team will also be happy to answer any questions and/or the guide will discuss the wishes of the individual participants.
At 9:00 a.m., the guided motorbike tour will start and begin with a pass of middle driving difficulty. The guided tours try to drive on small, secondary roads in order to avoid the general traffic. After about one to one and a half hours of driving, a coffee stop will be made. There, the participants will have the opportunity for the first time to talk with the guide and other drivers about how they feel so far on the first ride.
The guide will also tell about the specifics of the area. After the coffee break, you will again drive one to one and a half hours. Lunch break usually takes place on a pass in a refuge where lunch is served. After lunch, you will drive again for about two to two and a half hours, with a stop at a point of interest. A popular beginner's tour for Monday is certainly the World War I tour, as the front in the Dolomites ran between Austria and Italy during World War I.
After the guided motorcycle tour, the participants will meet for a well-deserved beer in the hotel garden. The rest of the afternoon is at your disposal. The distance traveled is about 200 to 250 kilometers with an easy to moderate route.
The tour will start at 9:00 a.m. You will go to the Central Dolomites. There are about seven to eight passes to drive and about 250 to 300 kilometers in one day. Again, you will have two to three stops. The level of difficulty will increase and beautiful roads and passes will be driven. It is certainly one of the best parts of the Dolomites.
You definitely have to take a camera with you. Also, a part of the well-known Sellaronda will be driven. In the afternoon, you can meet again in the hotel garden. Take the chance to nibble from the afternoon buffet which is available every day from 02:00 to 06:00 p.m.
It is your day off. If you like, you can go on an independent tour with your motorbike on your own. However, Almhof Call recommends exploring the nature park on foot by mountain bike or e-bike. The bike rental is available directly from the hotel. Many UNESCO beauties are not accessible by motorbike. In the evening, the traditional barbecue party will take place in the nature reserve. It is very popular among the participants as it is sociable and less formal and the participants get in touch more.
The tour will start at 9:00 a.m. It is the highlight of the week, the so-called 13-pass tour. You will ride over 320 kilometers. 13 different passes will be conquered and you will overcome over 20,000 meters in total in altitude difference. At the end of the day, you will be certainly tired but also proud of what has been done. In the evening, there will be an awarding ceremony for the participants at the hotel bar. The participants will receive a shirt and a trophy as a reminder of the experience.
The last guided tour will start, as usual, at 9:00 a.m. Mostly, the points of interest wishes of the participants will be considered. There will be tours such as the Prosciutto and Prosecco tour or the wine route that lies outside the Dolomites area. You may also like to go to Austria. On Friday, the ride will be about 250 to 330 kilometers long. In the afternoon, you can relax in the spa area with the rock swimming pool and sauna area and let the successful motorbike week pass.
Check out at 10:00 a.m. or, for those who arrived on Sunday, spend the day at leisure.
This tour will take place in San Vigilio di Marebbe, the Dolomites in Italy. The place is a harmony that can be found practically everywhere in the area. It is a small village at the foot of the ski area Plan de Corones and amidst other winter sports activities. It is immersed within a context of uncontaminated nature. The heart of the Dolomites beats calmly and regularly. The rhythm of the city seems light years away, without annoying traffic and with an almost complete silence in the air.
The thousand-year-long history of San Vigilio is a story that is still alive. There, the Ladin language, the language of the Dolomite, is still spoken. Its history goes back over 2,000 years, in the Roman era. What is most interesting is that it is an extremely calm and harmonic complexity that has a lot to offer to passionate naturalists, sports enthusiasts, those who pursue well-being, those who appreciate culture, and culinary lovers.
During this tour, you will be provided with daily breakfast, dinner, and afternoon snack. There will be a rich breakfast buffet with organic food, an afternoon snack, menu of choice with fresh salad and vegetable buffet in the evening. Of course, Almhof can serve, on request, also vegetarian, vegan food, and gluten-free food.
