Day 3
Same Ayurvedic schedules and treatments and Shirodhara
Shiro means head and dhara is the continued flow of liquid. This massage is administered by gently and methodically pouring warm herbalized oil over the forehead, synchronizing brain waves and profoundly coordinating and calming the mind, nervous system, body, and spirit. Very efficient in case of insomnia, burn-out, mental weakness, loss of memory or disorders, and stress.
Sirodhara is the best treatment for diseases of the nervous system and for emotional problems such as chronic depression and anxiety (panic) attacks. It is also recommended for chronic headaches, as well as ear, nose, and throat problems, and is especially useful for pain management. This process stimulates the part of the brain known as the pineal gland. Among its other functions, the pineal gland produces serotonin and melatonin. These hormones play an important role in each person's emotional balance, and melatonin is also known to have an anti-aging quality
