There are 3 identical one-floor villas (Peaceful, Wellbeing, and Wellness) and a larger three-floor villa (Zen Villa).

  • If you travel solo, you can have one of our one-floor villas privately for you only

They gathered all their experience and souls into launching a very special series of wellbeing mindfulness retreats in Greece. To create a healing time and place. To help lost souls be found. To support self-guidance for inner peace.

Two mindfulness sessions a day:

  • One in the morning when the sun is up

Plenty of time in between the sessions to:

Daily Schedule at Apanema Mindfulness Retreats

Arrival and departure

Guests usually arrive on a Saturday after 16:00. A brief orientation is provided. Take time to settle in, explore the space, and unwind. This is followed by dinner at a local taverna. Dinners are not included with your retreat booking. It is usually around 15-25 euros with food & drinks.

The first session starts on Sunday morning. The retreat ends on a Saturday morning, with check-out by 11:00. Before you go, there is one last mindfulness practice session early in the morning, plus a short follow-up briefing.

Flow of the day

Every day follows a rhythm, but nothing is forced. Join what feels right, skip what you need to.

  • Morning flexible hours (08.00 - 10.00) - Start with tai chi, qi gong, or Tibetan Taoist yoga. Move slowly, breathe deeply, and learn to master these ancient arts of wellbeing.
  • Breakfast after practice (10:00 - 11:00)
  • A fresh, local, nourishing meal. Take your time to enjoy it.
  • Afternoon (12:00 - 18:00) – free time with many options to choose from

Things you can do for free:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine classes
  • Private sessions with the coaches
  • Hang out by the pool
  • Use our sauna
  • Nap, walk, hike, read, go to the beach, explore the island or do nothing at all.
  • Meditation, mindfulness, or reflective practices. A quiet close to the day.

The place is called Apanema Mindfulness Resort. It sits in a very secluded location, connected to nature. No neighbours. Just the birds singing along with the soft wind.

Breakfast

Prepared by a local cook, it features fresh, nutritious meals made with local ingredients, catering to various dietary preferences.

Breakfast typically includes fresh homemade bread, fresh orange juice, milk, Greek yogurt, nuts and dried fruits, local honey, various seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs, cheeses, and meats for those who are not vegetarian.

Options include vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free. They just need to know your preferences before your arrival to inform the cook.

Breakfast is included with your retreat booking.

Lunch

To keep retreat costs low, lunch is not included. You can buy your own snacks and prepare them at the villas. You'll visit local supermarkets together to choose what’s available. Villas have fully equipped kitchens for cooking.

Dinner

They suggest dining out at nearby tavernas three evenings to enjoy local food. On other nights, you can cook at the villas or explore more tavernas. Up to you, they are flexible and adapt to each group.

The workshops can be organized for groups of a minimum of 4 people.

Twilight flexible hours (18:00 - 19:30) - Guided tai chi, qi gong, Tibetan Taoist yoga.

For private groups of 4 people minimum (all ages), the following activities can be organized upon request for an extra fee:

Spa treatments

  • The sauna and the swimming pool are free to use and included with your retreat booking.
  • Massages are not included with your retreat booking and require an appointment (Swedish massage, aroma therapy, deep tissue, face and head, myofascial cupping, trigger point therapy, sonic massage).

How to get there

Driving direction

If you are from Europe, especially Eastern Europe, you can drive your own car to Lefkada. The trip length varies depending on where you are coming from. Just type in Apanema Mindfulness and see how many hours you need to drive. You might need a sleep over somewhere on the road if the entire trip is longer than 12 hours.

Arriving by airplane

The closest Airport to Lefkada is in Preveza and it is called Preveza International Airport (PVK). It is a smaller airport and usually stays open between mid April and first half of October. There are direct flights to Preveza from many countries during this period. From mid October until mid April there are no direct flights to PVK.

If you can find flights here for your trip to Lefkada, it would be the easiest and fastest option, as Apanema Mindfulness is just 32 km away, a 40-minute car trip.

Apanema Mindfulness can assist you with renting a car before your arrival.

If there are more solo participants who would like to share a car rental during the entire stay they may arrange splitting the costs in between 2 or 4 participants.

You can also find flights to Athens is useful all year long and prices are usually fair, especially if you book in time. From Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (ATH), there are 389 km until Apanema Mindfulness. There are many car-hire companies at the airport, so ideally you would rent a car from there and keep it during your stay.

If there are more solo participants who would like to share a car rental during the entire stay, they may arrange splitting the costs between 2 or 4 participants. Although arrival times may vary, they could keep in touch and see if they can connect 2 or more participants for a car share.

This trip is mostly on highway toll roads. The total duration of this road trip is 3.5 hours at the moment (without stops, depending on your driving speed).

The total cost of the trip from Athens Airport to Apanema Mindfulness in Lefkada is 37.2 euros (one way). This amount includes the highway tolls and the Rio-Antirio bridge of Patras. It does not include gas or other expenses.

Flying to Ioannina National Airport IOA

There is also Ioannina Airport, about 2 hours drive from Lefkada. You can rent a car from the airport and keep it during your stay.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
