Program
In this retreat, you will be working with sacred plants—a very powerful medicine to awaken your consciousness. Ayahuasca Costa Rica will be hosting two plant ceremonies. These ceremonies are intense, profound, and almost always highly transformative experiences that can facilitate deep healing on all levels of your being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Medicine is a doorway to inner worlds that allows us to access higher states of consciousness and the experience of spiritual connection. To many people, it reveals the multi-dimensional nature of reality and yourselves, and it leads you back to who you truly are.
You will work closely with common healing plant allies used in Western herbalism and shamanic practices: sage and palo santo smudging, and fire ceremony. The idea is to deepen your relationships with self, spirit, nature, plants, and the sacred Earth herself. In a spirited and intimate community of sharing, we will also enjoy learning about natural medicines.
Schedule
On this retreat, Ayahuasca Costa Rica prioritizes personalized attention and connection by working with each guest as individuals, rather than large groups. You will be part of a small and intimate group, consisting of a minimum of one and a maximum of eight participants.
Here’s a glimpse of the itinerary, which is designed to be flexible and collaborative, tailored to the needs of the guests.
Sample daily schedule
Day 1
- Arrival and introduction (check-in at 15:00), followed by a preparation session for the Ayahuasca ceremony at sunset.
Day 2
- A rest day to relax and rejuvenate after the transformative night experience. You can explore local attractions and engage in activities of your choice.
Day 3
- Second Ayahuasca ceremony during the night.
Day 4
- Breakfast, followed by a closing circle where you integrate your experiences and conclude the retreat (check-out at 11:00).

Ayahuasca Costa Rica provides you all the meals. You'll be eating a simple but healthy vegan organic diet, where every meal is cooked using locally grown ingredients, totally free of pesticides and any other chemicals traditionally used in industrial agriculture.
To get the best of the sacred medicines, it is important to cleanse your organism from all toxins, and this includes food that is hard for the body to digest / process such as meat, dairy product and sugar / salt saturated food.
You're welcome to bring healthy snacks and fruits to complement your diet.
