Mardi Himal Yoga Trek explores majestic spirituality, nature, and Himalayan views in the less-trodden Mardi Himal region of the Annapurna range. Yoga, nature, and the Himalayas throughout this trip bring you an experience that you will never forget. You can simply call it your trek of a lifetime. This Mardi Himal yoga trekking starts and finishes in Pokhara and it's the short yoga trek in Nepal.
What you will find more amazing is the elevation gain without trouble in just a few days. Start the trek from about 1,000 meters above sea level and reach 4,500 meters at Mardi Himal Base Camp in just five days you do nowhere else in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas. And imagine the joy of practicing yoga and meditation in these wonderful natural surroundings. It’s just pure bliss.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Pokhara (820 meters)
A staff member will pick you up at the airport or bus terminal and transfer you to the hotel in Pokhara. A complete briefing will be delivered to you about the Itinerary of the yoga trek at your hotel. You stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 2: Drive from Pokhara to Khade and directly trek to Deurali (3,200 meters), 6-7 hours
After breakfast at the hotel, you will drive 1 hour from Pokhara to Khade. You are welcome by the beautiful views of villages and green hills along the treks. Starting from Khade, you will continue to trek to Pothana and directly to Deurali. The endemic flora rhododendrons will be all along the way of your trek. After 5-6 hours of trekking, you will reach Deurali. Yoga pranayama and meditation will be done in the evening. Stay overnight in Deurali.
Day 3: Trek from Deurali to Low Camp (2,990 meters), 6-7 hours
Today, the yoga asana practice begins in the morning before breakfast. Surya Namaskar Series and warming up asanas will be very good for your physical body warm-up before you start to continue trek to Low Camp which will take around 6-7 hours walk but the beautiful landscape and scenic view on the trekking trails will make you forget about your walk duration. Yoga, meditation, and pranayama will be conducted in the evening before dinner in the teahouse. Overnight in Low Camp.
Day 4: Trek from Low Camp to High Camp (3,580 meters), 5-6 hours
Yoga asana practice begins in the morning before breakfast. Surya Namaskar Series and warming up inversion asanas will be done to help you refresh your overall body and mind as well as prevent High Altitude Sickness. After yoga practice, you will continue the trek to Badal Danda and end up at High Camp where you will stay overnight and at the highest point of staying before doing a hiking summit early the following morning to Mardi Upper View Point (4200 meters). Yoga meditation and pranayama will be conducted in the evening before dinner in the teahouse. Overnight in High Camp.
Day 5: Early morning hiking summit to Mardi Himal Upper View Point (4200 meters) and back to Low Camp, 6-7 hours
Today is the highlight of the trip where you need to wake up early morning around 4 a.m. to hike to Upper View Point to see the amazing golden sunrise over the Himalayas. If you reach Upper View Point before 6 a.m., you are able to see the soft white landscape of clouds spreading over all of Mardi Himal hills and villages.
Upon reaching the Upper View, you will do a yoga asana session to make your body warm. Then, enjoy the scenic view of the Annapurna ranges and Mt. Macchapuchhre (Fish Tail) which is very close to the eyes. All the landscapes are amazing and breathtaking.
When you are all fit enough, then you are back down to High Camp for breakfast, and after that trek down for 5-6 hours to Low Camp. Yoga meditation and pranayama will be conducted in the evening before dinner in the teahouse. Overnight in Low Camp.
Day 6: Trek from Low Camp to Sidhing Village and drive back to Pokhara (820 meters)
This is your Last day of the trip! After yoga asana practice in the morning before breakfast, Surya Namaskar Series, and warming up asanas, you will spend time trekking down for around 3 hours to Sidhing Village where a Jeep will bring you back to Pokhara is already there.
On the way to Pokhara, you will see beautiful views of mountains, green hills, and eye-catching rivers along the way. Once you have reached Pokhara, in the evening, you will have a closing yoga session. Meditation, pranayama, and a closure prayer will end up the trip and your yoga trek journey.
Base Camp Trip Private Limited will invite you for a farewell dinner in Pokhara and hand over your yoga trek certificate of achievement. Overnight in Pokhara.
Day 7: Departure from Pokhara
