Be Kind Retreats is created with the mission to bring more self-love into this world, by women for women. All retreats are build on everything we believe is needed to find love within yourself: yoga, surf, self-love workshops and meditation.

Often we travel to find ourselves, but we get lost in distractions along the way. While in order to find oneself, the most important journey, is the one you make within. Be Kind Retreats is a personal investment to find more inner balance, work on self-love and self-care and disconnect to reconnect.

Villa

Surrounded by fellow travelers, yogis, and open-minded people you will feel right at home. The location is perfect in a small authentic village in Canggu. There is arranged free transportation to several hotspots in the neighborhood throughout the day (don’t need to worry about riding a motorbike). You are free to rent a bicycle and explore by yourself. You will find comfy hangouts around the garden, house, and kitchen. The rooms are big and fully furnished, so you will have your rest and privacy. Be Kind Retreats Bali are most happy with environmentally thinking persons, who treat the villa with love and share their positive energy.

Rooms

All rooms have been designed to offer you maximum rest and privacy. There are two shared rooms and one private room. The interior is personal and unique which will make you feel right at home. All rooms come with en-suite bathroom, hot shower, air-conditioning, towels, fresh linen, and toiletries.

Program

With surfing we will face our fears, with meditation we learn how to control our emotions. If you understand the wave and how it moves, you don’t have to be afraid of it and this is the same with life. If we understand the cycle of life, why we have to face challenges, we will see our fears as our friends and not as our enemies. To surf is to make peace with our fears, to meditate is to intergrade this into our personal growth in life.

About Be Kind

Be Kind is a team of young wonderful women who came to Bali during their own path of healing. They felt strongly connected with a more holistic way of living and the importance of yoga and meditation. They saw how many other women were struggling with negative thoughts, low self-esteem, feeling lost in life or women who were suffering from a burn-out, depression, anxiety or eating disorder. Be Kind was set up with the mission to help women from all over the world to love themselves again, to learn how to implement yoga and meditation in their lives and to work on personal struggles in a safe and sacred environment. A place where women are able to feel what it means to be a woman, to really live and not just exist.

Women-only

Be Kind retreats are for women only, as we strongly believe in the power of females healing together. As for being women ourselves, we understand the struggle with negative self-beliefs, extremely high standards and destructive perfectionism. We aim for a sisterhood community that empowers one another. By gathering together as women we tend to feel more comfortable in addressing certain subjects and talk freely about taboos. When women come together, share, talk and release, real healing is the results.

For who

For every woman who is ready to feel their freedom from the inside, to gain your inner strength back, to love yourself and your imperfections, to let go of personal struggles, to forgive yourself. For women who are dealing with a burn-out, depression, eating disorder, anxiety or an all over feeling that life is not giving you enough or the constant fight of pushing yourself. Be Kind guests are from all over the world and mostly between 20 and 35 years old. To us, age is just a number and we welcome women of any age.

Mindful surfing

The nature of waves, energy moving in the water, is the same as our nature. When we practice meditation we can rise up our energy into our spine: the energy of life. With meditation, we are not riding waves, but our thoughts. The goal of meditation is not to quiet the mind or to empty it, it is to learn how to ride the waves of our mind. In one moment our minds can feel like a storm, but when we start to meditate, we learn how to make our thoughts become more gentle and the sea gets soft.

The more we practice surf and meditation, the more we will be able to calm our minds to the point that we feel happy in daily life. Surfing will help us to practice different spiritual believes strength, courage and trust. We build strength in the process of learning to surf. When we learn how to ride the waves it will take courage to trust mother nature and ourselves. Meditation will help us to intergrade this spiritual belief in daily life.

To get the best surf experience, we believe in lessons that fit your personal needs and wishes. We will make sure you get your customized attention. Our surf teachers have years of teaching experience and have all the important local surf knowledge to provide the best surf course in Bali. All the teachers grew up around the ocean and know all the waves of Bali by heart. Beginner or advanced, you will catch many waves and learn a lot about surfing.

Women circles and self-love workshop

When we share our stories and personal struggles we realise we are not alone. We often think everyone around us is always happy and have perfect lives and that we are the only one having unacceptable problems or thoughts. Women circles increases the feeling that we are all together in this. We can support each other and motivate each other. Real connection is a powerful tool in the path of healing.

During a women circle we create rituals to find this support and connection with each other and this is when the magic happens: the power of healing together. In a group we will learn how to use our voice, we become aware how to express our feelings and emotions. We can use others as a mirror to learn more about ourselves.

The self-love workshop is focused on integrating self-love into your daily life. The main focus of the workshop is self-care, this means taking care of yourself in a loving way and treating yourself as kindly as you treat others. We will dive deeper into positive self-talk and creating new routines and habits to take care of yourself better. We will give you ideas and tools to make a self-care ritual and personal affirmations to use back home in your daily routine.

Yoga

The focus in the Be Kind yoga classes are on our YIN side. The feminine side, emotions, feelings, creativity and intuition are part of our yin side. In daily life we are often active in our YANG side. The yang side is our rational and analytical mind, but we believe we also need a connection with our YIN side in order to feel freedom from within.

The women attending Be Kind retreats often feel lost in life or disconnected from themselves. YIN yoga sn the answer to reconnect with our true self, to be soft and to stay soft to ourselves. The moment we put a lot of pressure on ourselves, we need YIN yoga in order to heal ourselves and to give love to ourselves.

All classes are suited for every woman. We don’t see you as a beginner or advanced, but we will focus on your strengths, giving you some challenges and sometimes bring you a little out of your comfort zone. This will all lead to self-growth, compassion and freedom from within.

Digital Detox

Coaching

Be Kind coaches will guide you into your journey with intuitive coaching. This means they will connect with their intuition to read what is going on in your life. This can be with talking or in meditation, healing or releasing exercises. We work on the bigger picture, deeper questions and a more meaningful way of looking into your life. It’s a transformational way to connect with who you are as a being, and not just about what you are doing. It’s more about how you want to feel in life, instead of what you want to achieve. It’s a powerful tool to make long term changes in your present life

Note:

The surf schedule might change depending on the tides and wave conditions. Their aim is to give you the best time possible in the water so you will have the surf lesson whenever the conditions are best.

All scheduled activities are optional, you don’t need to participle in anything you don’t want. It is perfectly fine to stay at the villa all day.

You can choose between 2 surf lessons, 1 coaching session, 3 yoga lessons OR 1 surf lesson, 2 coaching sessions and 4 yoga lessons.

Location

This retreat takes place in Canggu, Bali. The villa is located in a quiet, cozy village, and nestled between the beautiful rice fields of Canggu. Canggu is a uniquely mixed paradise that many travelers dream of, a Balinese paradise that has the best of both worlds. They are not in the busy hustle of Canggu, but with transport only around seven minutes away from all the hotspots. Don’t worry, they offer free transport throughout the day.

Food

Be Kind Retreats Bali will serve 5 healthy breakfasts, 1 delicious lunch and 1 tasty dinner in the Be Kind villa. All meals are vegan and they can cater for different diets and allergies. Think coconut yoghurt, quinoa pancakes, chia pudding, avocado on toast, healthy organic juices etc. They wouldn’t want you to miss out on the amazing food scene in Bali, that’s why the other meals are not included. Transport to restaurants will be arranged and it only takes a few minutes by car to go to the best restaurants in Canggu.

The schedule is designed to give you the best possible time at Be Kind. Possible things to do extra are coaching and healing sessions and on Friday afternoon there is a free driver available. Go shopping in Seminyak, relax at a pool club in Canggu or do a bicycle tour.

Spa treatments

One relaxing massage is included in the package. On Wednesday, the private driver will bring you to a tropical spa where you can relax by the pool, have lunch and do various beauty treatments and massages.
