Location

Brisas de Zicatela, Oaxaca

This program will take place in Brisas de Zicatela, which is in Oaxaca City of the state of Oaxaca in Southern Mexico.

About the location

Located in La Punta neighborhood, Casamar Suites Hotel is two blocks from the beach and is also close to many shops and restaurants.

The venue is also just 10 kilometers from the Puerto Escondido Airport and a one-minute walk from Zicatela Beach. Casamar is a tranquil place set in closed gardens with high palm trees. Enjoy their cool chlorine-free pool, terraces with lounge chairs, and garden hammocks. Stroll to the beach for a swim or a long walk.

Puerto Escondido

The town of Puerto Escondido was established in 1928 as a port for shipping coffee, although the area has been inhabited by indigenous populations for centuries. In the 1960's, Highway 200 was built to connect to other coastal towns. Tourists began to discover the town and surfers found its beaches.

Its importance as a port diminished as coffee shipments began going by truck instead of boat, though the port does continue to support commercial fishing activity.

Today, Puerto Escondido is home to fishermen, surfers, vacationers, and an eclectic ex-patriot community. It is appreciated for its laidback, authentic beach ambiance. In 2009, it was attributed the status of "city" of Puerto Escondido, reflecting its rapid growth and importance to the state of Oaxaca.

Zicatela Beach is also rated as one of the top surfing destinations in the world.

Puerto Escondido is a place of healing that connects people with the essence of life. Casamar recognizes this paradise and invites you to live the purification of your mind, body, and emotions to connect with your true essence.
