There will be nine sessions with two hours of class for each session. You may take anywhere from 9 days to 12 months to complete the sessions.

So, what exactly is NLP?

NLP is a set of tools and techniques that allow you to create quick, effective change. NLP stands for 'Neuro-Linguistic Programming'. 'Neuro' refers to how you process your experiences through your five senses. 'Linguistic' is the language you use and your inner self-talk.

'Programming' refers to your unconscious habits and patterns of behavior and how these influence your lives. From your life experiences, you have each developed your own 'map' of the world which determines your values, beliefs, and feelings about things. As you grow older, your map of the world may contain unhealthy or destructive patterns of thinking that may have served you at one time but now hinder you and hold you back.

NLP can help to modify or replace these patterns with more helpful and empowering ones. You are not often consciously aware of your 'map' and why you do the things you do. The NLP techniques help to access the unconscious mind and make changes at the root of the problem.

Benefits of NLP Coaching

The sessions focus more on the future. You will not need to talk to Claire about your past or your childhood, although sometimes this is helpful. You do not need to talk to her about the problem in detail, you just need to be able to create a picture of it in your mind as a lot of the techniques involve visualization.

This is because the process is participative and people tend to learn and adopt new habits more easily when they are actively engaged in the learning process. It takes place over an extended period of time to allow you time to implement the changes discussed and is it not something that you need to commit to attending weekly.

They will help you to find direction and set appropriate goals to help you to find your way again. The techniques can help with specific anxiety-provoking situations, such as delivering presentations, interviews, and communicating with difficult colleagues.

Claire currently works on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The timing of the sessions will be discussed between you and Claire Reeves Counselling and Coaching upon booking.
