This retreat will be held at Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel in Vilankulo, Mozambique. The hotel is situated on an elevated plateau with panoramic views over the archipelago, the lodge, á la carte restaurant, infinity pool, and the bar. In addition, the accommodation site has a fully-equipped wellness center that offers the finest in pampering and indulgence.
Luxury beach suites
The Luxury beach suite is a pied-àterre luxury self-catering unit with a king-sized bed, television lounge, fully-equipped kitchenette, private barbecue, terrace with sunbeds, and private splash pool.
Sea view bedrooms
As for the Sea view bedroom, it has an ensuite bedroom with a queen-size bed, shower, large veranda with sunbeds, and sea view that is overlooking the Bazaruto islands.
Garden suite
The Garden suites, although not having ocean views, offer the ideal sense of retreat, where you will be surrounded by luxurious gardens and beautiful birdlife. These suites have a private pied-à-terre luxury bedroom with a super king-sized bed that can be converted to two ¾ twin beds, DSTV, lounge, and a private terrace area in the cashew nut tree garden.
This bedroom can sleep a couple or two people in twin beds and two of these units have interleading rooms for families. The rooms are air-conditioned, spacious, and covered with modern boutique design. They also all have a mini bar, Internet access, and hairdryer.

A typical day
This retreat includes two daily yoga practice that are designed to be energizing and fun, as well as restorative and peaceful. Your day will be filled with one-on-one meditation and yoga practice and one group class. Some days will also include spa treatments as described below and free days can be spent exploring the beautiful surroundings or just relaxing by the pool.

Gretha
Gretha had fallen in love with all the wonders of yoga a long time ago, in her search to learn more, she completed her Hatha teacher training in 2018 and has been teaching yoga ever since. Recently qualified as a Yin teacher, her deep passion for yoga keeps growing and the love of sharing it continues to bring her great joy.
Susana
Susana was born in Lisbon and moved to Mozambique in 2009. She is leading the development of the Bahia Mar Boutique Hotel for 7 years now. Susana has a big passion for yoga and she is been immersing herself in the wellness industry for a few years now. Susana is a certified Hatha yoga teacher, Aerial yoga, Yin yoga and always deepening her studies with new approaches and new concepts in her classes.
Gerry
Gerry is currently in his final year of a four-year master's in Mindfulness-Based Teaching at the Center for Meditation Research and Practice at the University of Bangor, Wales, UK, one of the world's leading centers for mindfulness studies. Gerry specializes in mindfulness teaching and has been leading meditations and teaching eight-week mindfulness programs, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Life, for the past two years.

This retreat will be held at Vilankulo, Mozambique. It lies at the gateway of the Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique's only underwater national park, which comprises five islands; Bazaruto, Benguerra, Margaruque, Bangue, and Santa Carolina (commonly known as Paradise Island).
Located where the azure waters of the Indian Ocean touch the palm-fringed beaches of Vilankulos on mainland Mozambique, it is the ultimate destination for visitors who want to experience the colorful local culture as well as the fabulous beauty of the Bazaruto Archipelago.

There are plenty of exciting activities and places for you to explore at the retreat site. The small fishing village of Vilanculos is considered the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago. It has five picture-perfect islands that are all situated within the National Marine Park.
Bahia Mar is privileged to share these breathtaking attractions with their guests. They will provide free transport to and from most of the activities within Vilankulo.
Dhow trips to the islands
Enjoy an unforgettable day trip to the islands by sailing on a traditional wooden boat (dhow). You can either go for snorkeling or just simply relax and stroll along the deserted white beaches. Also, various dhow trips are available to the different islands as well.
Horse riding
You can enjoy horse riding along the beach, to the dunes, around the lakes, and even swimming with the horses. It is truly a great experience to get into nature and is a must for the horse lovers. Beginners are welcome too.
Kite surfing
Bahia Mar has the best spot for kite surfing in Vilankulo! If you are interested, you can go for the kite surfing baptism, learn how to kitesurf, or hire equipment to join a kiting safari.
Stand up paddleboarding
The blue and calm waters of Vilanculos’s bay are ideal for paddle standing on a board, known as one of the ultimate water activities. This activity is suitable for beginners, more experienced ones, families, or individuals.
Sunset cruise
You can go on a cruise to enjoy the stunning sunset from the water.
