Fitness and Health Camp in Spain

During this training, you will stay either in a shared or a private room at a comfortable country house. The country houses are located at the foot of the natural park and cliffs of La Breña, just a short walk from the magnificent beach of Zahora and its characteristic Trafalgar Lighthouse. Each house contains two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a terrace.

However, if you prefer a little more privacy, hotel room accommodation is also available. In both the houses and the hotel rooms there are options for a large double bed or separate single beds. Wi-Fi is available in both the houses and the hotel. However, it is recommended that you limit your time in front of a laptop or device as much as possible during your stay.

Programm

The training philosophy

The human lifestyle in the modern world is often lacking in diversity of movements. You have changed the environment in which you live and move. All the training will take place outside. Moving and training in a natural terrain using natural objects, as opposed to training in a regular flat surfaced gym, using standardized equipment or machines, has the potential of a much broader and more varied stimulus.

In the training, you will find some of the following components: barefoot running and sprinting, offtrack and uphill running, training with natural objects, boxing, kettlebell training, parkour, yoga and mobility work, bodyweight strength and conditioning, various games, and competitions.

Daily schedule

Cheveyo Training Camp chooses not to run a standardized course week after week and instead adjusts the program for weather conditions and the fitness level of participants while making room to throw in some surprises as well. To give you an idea, one day of the week might go a little something like this:

  • 08:30 Morning training
  • 12:00 Brunch
  • 12:30 Relax
  • 16:00 Boxing and strength and conditioning workout on the beach
  • 18:00 Deep stretching or yoga
  • 20:00 Dinner

Note

Dates are shown as weekly intervals from Saturday to Saturday. The last training day ends at noon, with a final training followed by breakfast.

Lage

The base of the week is located in the small town of Zahora on the Atlantic coast - Costa de la Luz, whose name accurately translates from Spanish to “Coast of Light.” This coastal area is one of the least spoiled in Spain and the beaches here are said to be among the most beautiful in the country. The La Breña National Park is located right in the camp's backyard. The park has one of the most spectacular stretches of rocky cliffs along the Andalucian Atlantic coastline, with stunning views over the sea and to the rocky headland of Cape Trafalgar and its lighthouse.

Verpflegung

During the training, you will enjoy two daily healthy meals included in the price. The meals served at the camp are based on natural foods of organic and local produce. The kitchen team only uses highly nutritious and non-processed foods. The diet is put together to secure a well-balanced amount of nutrients including an optimized fatty-acid ratio.

The diet is based on what the body is designed and developed to live on, rather than what is available in a modern supermarket. This includes; local organic fruits and vegetables, fresh fish, and seafood, free-range meats, eggs, nuts, seeds, and healthy oils. Vegan and vegetarian options are available as well.

Anreise

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Jerez Airport (XRY). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request for approximately 40 EUR per person. Alternatively, you can arrive at Gibraltar International Airport (GIB) or Seville Airport (SVQ). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request for approximately 40 EUR per person. If you decide to arrive at Malaga Airport (AGP). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request for approximately 60 EUR per person. Pickups are normally available on Saturdays. The schedule of transfer is from 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and should be ordered in advance.

Arrival by bus

There is a bus that runs from the Malaga Airport (AGP) to a town called Algeciras. From Algeciras, you can take a bus to either Vejer or Conil, at which your hosts can pick you up. Feel free to contact Cheveyo Training Camp for a more specific travel plan.
