Programm
Day 1: Arrival in San José
Arrival in San José and transfer to the hotel. Welcome cocktail and briefing. Night at Santa Ana: Hotel Posada Nena.
Day 2: Santa Ana to Santa Cruz de Turrialba
A full day of motorcycling through a wide very variety of landscapes and vegetation at an altitude of 1,000 meters at out-set on paths through high mountains and coffee plantations. At noon, you arrive in Cartago, one of Central America’s holy cities of pilgrimage. Then, an abrupt change of scenery, a tough climb towards Turrialba Volcano. You'll circle the volcano on an incredible path, offering a lunar landscape! The step ends in Santa Cruz de Turrialba. Night at the Goyabo Lodge.
Day 3: Santa Cruz to Rio Pacuare (half day biking - half day white-water rafting)
From the hotel, you cross a huge coffee plantation where you will stop for a guided tour of the production cooperative. Then, down to the agricultural town of Turrialba. You finish the motorcycle portion at Tres Equis, where you leave your bikes to begin two-hour rafting trip, embarking on the edge of the Rio Pacuare to arrive at the base camp, a magnificent lodge in the middle of an indigenous reserve. Night at the Pacuare Lodge.
Day 4: Rio Pacuare to Tarbaca
In the morning, 4 hours of a challenging descent on the Rio, one of the world’s five most beautiful rafting river, waterfalls, gorges, rapids, jungle swimming holes, unforgettable!!! When you exit the Rio, you recover your bikes for a long stretch through tropical jungle and sugar-cane farms until you reach a lookout with a breathtaking view on the whole Central Valley! Night at the Colinas Alta Vista.
Day 5: Tabarca to Manuel Antonio
After crossing of several valleys of high mountains, your lunch will be in a "Finca" at an altitude of 2,400 meters. After a hearty typical meal, you undertake the descent to the Pacific Ocean, penetrating tropical rainforests, with exuberant vegetation. You end the day in the spectacular seaside destination of Manuel Antonio. Night at the Verde Mar.
Day 6: Manuel Antonio to Playa Hermosa
Next, you cut across vast palm-oil plantations, a veritable labyrinth before an incursion on to the deserted beach of Playa Parrita, with its coconut palm-trees, turquoise sea and sand, unique!!! Next, you take great trails in the coastal mountains to Playa Hermosa, a world-renowned surfing spot. For the more adventurous, some partying in the nearby town of Jacó. Night at the Marea Brava Ocean Front & Villa.
Day 7: Playa Hermosa to San José
Return to the Central Valley. Arrival at San José. Night at the Colonial Hotel, in the center of the city where your journey ends.

Departure.
Required
- You must have at least a 250cc motorcycle driver’s license
- The bikes are insured to third parties, plus a driver's insurance.
- Client must have their own repatriation insurance.
Riding gears
Each participant will be required to use the riding gear appropriate for the practice of Enduro. This riding gear can either be one’s own or rented from Enduro Tours Costa Rica. But under no circumstances can it be incomplete! In the event that a participant’s riding gear is incomplete, the missing parts of the riding gear will have to be rented from Enduro Tours Costa Rica. This is critical to ensure one’s own safety.
The riding gear must consist of:
- A helmet approved for cycling (European or world standards) preferably an off-road helmet. The road full-face helmet is not appropriate for hot weather
- A pair of protective motocross sunglasses with lenses in good condition for proper visibility, having anti-fog and preferably slightly shade
- A full body protection jacket: back, shoulders, elbows, chest or cross chest and elbow pads
- Shin guards
- Motocross or enduro gloves
- Enduro or motocross boots with reinforcements and maximum protection (trial or trail boots or construction boots are not accepted)
- A backpack with a hydration pack (CamelBak) and a rain jacket (windbreaker type)
- Optional: motocross or enduro pants → jeans are accepted with all the protections mentioned above
- The enduro jacket is not recommended, too hot!

Christophe Eliet
Christophe Eliet is a French native who lives in Costa Rica since 1999. He has 27 years of the dirt bike (enduro, motocross, trial) He warned the title Champion of Provence endurance (cross country France 1990), fourth position in Latin American Enduro Championship (Category E3 2009, 2010), and fourth position at the Costa Rican National Championship Enduro (2009 and 2010). He was Champion of Cross Country in 2008.
Lage
This motorcycle tour will take place in Costa Rica. The locations that will be covered are Santa Ana, Santa Cruz de Turrialba, Rio Pacuare, Tarbaca, Manuel Antonio, Playa Hermosa, and San Jose, but also many wonderful places along the way.
