Whether you are a yogi interested in moving outside the mat, a dancer wanting to develop a more conscious practice or a complete beginner in both, this retreat is designed for each and everybody – all it requires is an open mind and heart!
Using the 5 elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) alongside the corresponding chakras, you will work your way through the elements, exploring how you can tap into these different energies to bring more balance and greater awareness to your mind, body, soul – and the way you move!
What is embodied movement?
Our bodies get used to the same patterns and the same movements, and day after day, we can become unaware and "stuck" in our ways, physically, emotionally, and energetically. This practice is a combination of different conscious movements, moving the body in ways you just don’t get to do with other forms of exercise (even yoga!)
You will explore movements in a fun and dynamic way, a combination of body isolation, dance, martial arts, yoga, mindful exercises, and intuitive motions from animalistic, to sensual, to childlike and playful flow, dance, and find freedom through movement, a mix of all kinds of crazy, conscious, fun stuff to move in your way, for your body, building a connection with your true self and others.
Learn to bring more awareness to the body, release blockages, heal, and prevent injury, become "unstuck", and improve balance, strength, flexibility, and fluidity. Think and move outside the box (in fact, there is no box!).
The 3 main styles are:
- Vinyasa
- Embodied Movement/Flow
- Yoga dance
It can also be described as Intuitive Flow. There will also be some Yin and Nidra in the evenings but the main focus of the retreat is yoga embodied movement and dance. “Finding Freedom Through Movement”

Day 3: Water

Day 4: Fire
- 08:00 Morning yoga flow (fire and air element)

- 11:00 Find your fire!
- Exercises for identifying and letting go of self-limiting beliefs, finding your fire, releasing and expressing, and losing inhibitions. Journalling and/or group work / sharing.

Day 5: Air
- 08:00 Morning yoga flow (Air Element)
- 09:30 Breakfast
- 11:00 Free time for self-compassion! - Massage or "Me time"

- 20:00 Free evening - star gaze, relax, take a walk, or visit a local village
Day 6: Space

Day 7: Intuition

Day 8: Integration
