Staying with a nice and welcoming host family is an integral part of the course in Ireland (full board, twin room, only one student from this country per host family).
A successful experience in Ireland is only worthwhile with excellent host families. This is why Mackdonald Language Academy puts utmost emphasis on the selection of their host families. Most host families have been working with them for many years and are experienced in welcoming international students to their home.

Learning English and experiencing Ireland
With Mackdonald Language Academy, students will not only improve their English. They will also get a very good impression of the cultural and natural beauty of Ireland. Most students go there as individuals. However, at any time of the year, they also welcome groups of students to Kilkenny.

Each week, there will be 15 hours of interactive and engaging lessons in international classes (maximum of 15 students per class; all levels of English).

Mobile app for students
Their mobile app for students contains valuable pre-arrival information and Mackdonald Language Academy regularly uses it throughout the program to inform of planned activities, outings, trips, etc. The app gives all students personalized and up-to-date information about their stay with in Ireland at all times.
Part of the mobile app is an extensive section with frequently answered questions regarding all aspects of the stay in Ireland, e.g. procedure upon arrival, packing list, rules of conduct, and much more.

There will be a mixed variety of many cultural and social activities and sports in and around Kilkenny on five afternoons each week.

Lage
Kilkenny - in the heart of Ireland
Kilkenny is the perfect place for English learners - not too small and not too big. Also, many host families live within walking distance to Mackdonald Language Academy's summer center. If required, the host families will provide transfers to / from the school / activities free of charge each day. The use of public transport will not be necessary.
