Mangosteen Ayurveda and Wellness Resort's villas have been designed to be naturally cool, with very high insulation and air ventilation through the roof. Even without air-conditioning, you will feel comfortable and relaxed.
The air-conditioning is working quietly. The temperature control is precise and you can reach it from your bed. Mattresses are the first grade for a very comfortable sleep and sweet dreams. Combined with the tranquility of the resort, guests usually oversleep, coming late for their sumptuous fresh breakfast.
The tropical gardens are kept natural, cultured but not over designed, attracting local animals such as geckos, birds, frogs and butterflies, also a result of environmentally friendly pest control systems.
Royal Balcony Jacuzzi Villa
Royal Balcony Jacuzzi Villas provide great views from the second floor and space for up to three adults, sleeping comfortably in king size beds. The Royal Balcony Villas are equipped with all amenities you could possibly imagine and as they are located on the top of the Mangosteen hillside, they provide you with the best views. 98 square meters of living space, generous even for a king.
It has outdoor balcony jacuzzis and private terraces with hammocks, surrounded by tropical gardens for a relaxed resort life. The interior design is by John Underwood and is Asian-themed with rich colors and natural materials. Teak wood and terracotta floors, teak windows, and a wealth of beautiful textiles are used making you feel at home quickly.
Deluxe Jacuzzi Villa
The Mangosteen Deluxe Jacuzzi Villas, uniquely designed and centrally located in the resort, are very popular amongst Mangosteen return guests. Increased room size allows fitting a double bed plus a single bed in every villa so that they can be booked for three people.
A huge standing lamp is producing interesting shadows and the bathroom has the biggest air trumpet you have ever seen. It has a truly extravagant design combined with the best comfort and sea views! The interior design is by John Underwood.
The use of natural materials such as teak wood and terracotta, soft and rich colors, and heavy materials make you feel comfortable quickly.
Superior Jacuzzi Villa
Superior Jacuzzi Villa is a designer spa villa with extra comfort—far from ordinary! These 58 square meter villas provide guests with a spacious, large, and private space. A comfortable seating area, spacious al-fresco bathrooms with an outside garden rain-shower and a terrace, all designed to ensure an enjoyable stay.
The rooms are well-fitted out with a variety of unique interior features, designed by John Underwood. Warm tones, rich colors, heavy wooden furniture and mostly natural materials used, combined with an almost timeless design, make you feel comfortable right away.

Dr. Nezeem Kadavil Uthuman
Dr. Nezeem wurde in einem Ayurveda-Hintergrund in Kerala geboren und aufgewachsen, inspiriert von seinem Vater, der ein staatlicher ayurvedischer medizinischer Offizier mit über 50 Jahren Erfahrung war. Von Kindheit an wurde er durch den Erfolg seines Vaters in seiner Ayurveda-Praxis beeinflusst. Er beschloss, in die Fußstapfen seines Vaters zu treten und studierte erfolgreich "Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)" und erwarb außerdem ein "PG Diploma in Hospital Management". Um seine Fähigkeiten weiter zu verbessern, spezialisierte er sich auf die Marma-Therapie.
Daosuk Dao Sethi
Dao ist eine begeisterte Yogalehrerin, die Yin-, Hatha- und Vinyasa-Yoga beherrscht. Sie begann 2015 Yoga zu praktizieren und hat seitdem nicht mehr aufgehört. 2018 reiste sie nach Indien, um die Kunst des Yogalehrens zu erlernen, wo sie ihr erstes Ausbildungszertifikat von der Satyam Vedic Yoga School in Rishikesh erhielt. Neben Yoga ist Dao auch ein spiritueller Coach für Kristallschalentherapie. Dao unterrichtet Yoga und konzentriert sich dabei auf ihre Schüler. Da sie bereits Schüler aus den unterschiedlichsten Bereichen unterrichtet hat, ist sie sehr erfahren darin, herauszufinden, was für ihre Schüler am besten ist und ihnen zu helfen, ihre Ziele zu erreichen.
Koong Jiraphorn
Koong ist schon seit langem von Yoga begeistert. Sie hatte die Gelegenheit, sich in Rishikesh, Indien, zur Yogalehrerin ausbilden zu lassen und erhielt das Zertifikat der Satyam Vedic Yoga School bei Yogacharya Somdutt Amoli. Sie lebt jetzt in Phuket und unterrichtet Yoga in verschiedenen Yogazentren. Wenn sie die Möglichkeit hat, besucht sie viele Workshops, um sich neues Wissen anzueignen, weil das Lernen endlos ist. Seit 2017 unterrichtet sie Vinyasa Yoga im Mangosteen Resort.
Orlando Matos Abreu
Hatha Yogalehrer, spezialisiert auf Yoga-Therapie und Wirbelsäulenverjüngung. Mit einem vorherrschenden Hintergrund in Hatha Yoga, hat Orlando auch Vinyasa und Yin Yoga integriert und verschiedene therapeutische Sequenzen geschaffen, die für alle Altersgruppen und Ebenen geeignet sind! Durch die Kombination verschiedener Atemtechniken und mentaler Fokussierung hilft dieser entspannende und dennoch dynamische therapeutische Ansatz vielen Menschen nicht nur bei Flexibilität, sondern auch bei chronischen Schmerzen und bringt Körper und Geist ins Gleichgewicht! Orlando absolvierte die RYS-500 Yoga Shiromani Teacher Training mit Dr. Om Prakesh in Uttarakhand, Himalaya, Indien, im Januar 2018.
Kirstin Gourlay
Seit 2015 lebt sie in Thailand und unterrichtet Yoga und Meditation. Sie ist Access Bars Energy Healing Practitioner und ganzheitliche Wellness-Beraterin. Im Mangosteen Resort unterrichtet sie Restorative und Yin basierte Yogakurse, die für alle Niveaus geeignet sind, und hilft ihren Gästen dabei, dass ihr Geist, ihr Körper und ihre Seele Gleichgewicht und Frieden finden können.
Ann Kunticha
Ann Kunticha ist Yogalehrerin, spezialisiert auf Hatha, Vinyasa und Arail Yoga. Im Jahr 2014 nahm sie an einer Yoga Ausbildung bei Lanna Yoga Chiang Mai teil und lernte Hatha und Vinyasa Yoga. Im Jahr 2017 absolvierte sie eine 100-stündige Yoga Ausbildung bei Hari Om Yoga Vidya in Rishikesh. Im selben Jahr erhielt sie auch ein Aerial-Yoga-Zertifikat (10-Stunden Workshop). Im darauffolgenden Jahr schloss sie die 200-stündige Hatha Ashtanga Yogalehrer Ausbildung ab und setzte damit ihre vorherige 100-stündige Ausbildung bei Hari Om Yoga (Yoga-Ausbildung an der Satyam Vedic Yoga School) fort.
Nuya Laksanachan
Ihre Yoga Reise begann 2006; nach der ersten Stunde war sie sofort Feuer und Flamme und reiste bald darauf nach Indien, um mehr zu lernen und sich selbst zu vertiefen. Seit ihrer Qualifikation als Ausbilderin im Jahr 2014 hat sie nun weitere Qualifikationen in Aerial Yoga, Acro Yoga und Acroyoga Fit abgeschlossen. In ihren Kursen kombiniert sie kreative Abläufe, Verspieltheit und Inspiration, um den Schülern zu helfen, ihre Praxis zu vertiefen, eine Harmonie in sich selbst zu finden und im Leben zu gedeihen, indem sie Körper, Geist und Seele mit Yoga nährt. Sie hofft, dass Ihre Schüler die Matte mit einem erfrischten, genährten und ausgeglichenen Gefühl verlassen.

The Mangosteen Ayurveda and Wellness Spa is located in the south of Phuket on a private hillside, offering spectacular ocean views over four bays and many surrounding islands. The location is ideal for travelers looking for peace and tranquility but is still not too far from the busier beaches.
Nearby attractions include Big Buddha of Phuket, Chalong Temple, Promthep Cape Sunset Viewpoint, Rawai Beach with a seafood market and the famous Chalong Pier, the starting point for almost all Phuket boat excursions.

During Monday afternoons at the pool, Sea Bees Diving, one of Phuket's best dive operators, located at Chalong Pier, is offering free diving lessons for everybody to try. Come and try yourself. Of course if you like to try it out in the sea, Sea Bees is also highly recommended. Explore the corals, the colorful fishes of the Andaman Sea.

Phang Nga Bay sea canoe
Phang Nga Bay with its beautiful limestone rocks and islands is one of the most stunning must see attractions of Phuket. The bay is best explored by sea canoe. Watch the wildlife, paddle through narrow bat caves and fantastic lagoons.
The bay can be explored at almost any weather condition. It is well protected from waves and sunshine is not absolutely necessary.
Since Mangosteen Resort has opened, the best sea canoe trip is always recommended, the John Gray Hong by Starlight. John's trip is the best to recommend and an experience not to be missed.
Salt-water swimming pool
The large free form swimming pool is salt-water treated and the heart of the property. It is open 24 hours with water temperatures around 30 degrees. There is generous space for everybody and even with the resort fully booked, the pool area will not feel crowded.
Thai cooking classes
Thai food is famous around the world and with Asian shops mushrooming in almost every country and city worldwide, more and more people like to cook some of the tasteful and spicy dishes at home. Book a Thai cooking class with the resort's chef and learn by doing.
