Villa Castel Venezze is a medieval property set in the heart of a beautiful green park in the Venetian countryside. The accommodation, a prestigious villa owned by noblemen, was restored in the 16th century after the destruction of the ancient castle. It offers you an oasis of peace and tranquility, where you can enjoy the real Venetian life and food. There is a biological swimming pool, disinfected only by mineral salts, and a large parking place.
Stay overnight in charming rooms with original ancient furniture, air conditioning, private en-suite bathroom, and satellite-TV. You will enjoy the great care to details that Maria Giustiniani, the owner, has given to her villa, the restaurant and, most important, to her guests. Under her watchful eyes, Maria’s Tenuta has been transformed into one of Veneto's finest accommodation, keeping its original, old style and charm.
Programm
There are two cooking lessons from 10:30 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. (lunch included). On these two mornings, you will be enjoying the familiar and genuine atmosphere of the kitchen. Classes are small enough to accommodate cooks of all levels and are ideal for small groups of family and friends. It is also possible to bring non-participating friends who can enjoy the villa, its park, and the ecological swimming pool (from May to September) and then join the group for lunch and dinner.
Daily itinerary
Day 1
Around 6:00 p.m., pick up at Rovigo train station. Dinner at the restaurant Locanda Venezze and your first introduction to local places to familiarize yourself with your new surroundings.
Day 2
Hands-on cooking lesson. Today, you will start making dishes using techniques and recipes handed down through generations of local women. This cooking lesson will focus on pasta, tagliatelle, tortellini, tortelloni, and cakes. Lunch follows, including d.o.c. Italian wine. In the afternoon, you can relax at the villa or visit the beauties of the nearby sightseeing. Maria's Cookery Course also offers you the possibility to participate in one of the tours. Dinner at the restaurant Locanda Venezze.
Day 3
Hands-on cooking lesson. You will prepare other traditional recipes together and then have lunch together. This afternoon, you will have time to explore the surroundings at your leisure. They will have many suggestions for you. Dinner at the restaurant Locanda Venezze.
Day 4
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer is not included.

Hello everyone, my name is Stefano Zamboni and I have been a professional Venetian chef for over 25 years. My passion for cooking was already in my blood when I was just 12 years old helping my parents (professional chefs). The passion soon involved me to the point that on weekends I worked as an apprentice pastry chef. This somewhat upset my study plans to the point that I went to work under my uncle (a chef with a famous CV). As the years grew, I also cultivated another desire: to travel. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore the surrounding region. On-demand excursions (half-day program) to the local winery and olive mill are available at an extra cost. In the summer, the garden is fantastic and green, and you can relax in the swimming pool or enjoy a glass of good wine under the roof terrace. From June to September, you can also enjoy the swimming pool set in the garden. Additionally, during your stay in the Veneto area, you can participate in one of the tours organized by Maria's Cookery Course.

Arrival by train
On-demand, Maria's Cookery Course's staff can arrange a driver for your pick-up at Venice train station. The cost is about 130 EUR. The best way to Rovigo is by train. It starts every hour from Venice and stops at Rovigo Railway Station. The ride is about one hour, and a round trip costs approximately 16 EUR per person.
Arrival by taxi
You do not need to arrange a taxi driver. Check outside Rovigo's train station for the first available taxi. The ride is approximately 25 to 30 EUR. Tenuta is in Venice's countryside and in case you do not have transport, they can provide a taxi for you to Piazzale Roma in Venice. The cost of this service is 90 EUR one way or 200 EUR for a round trip.
