The resort has superb facilities, including a traditional, Thai-style open yoga shala, massage shala, swimming pool, fully equipped Muay Thai gym, and vegan café. The accommodation is of a high standard. Sumalee has a range of rooms to suit different budgets. All have air conditioning, en-suite facilities, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a fridge. The suite rooms have a kitchenette and are very well-appointed and spacious.
All rooms are directly accessible to the yoga shala and other facilities at the resort. All rooms at Sumalee are cleaned daily. Bed linen is changed once a week, and towels are changed daily. For your added safety and security, Sumalee has installed a CCTV surveillance system throughout the camp.
Sumalee deluxe room
Sumalee Deluxe Room has eleven rooms on-site. Seven of these are king-size, and four are twin shared rooms. The rooms are set well away from the training area and experience little noise interruption during the daytime or at night. You can enjoy scenic views of the landscape surrounding the camp and have immediate access to the swimming pool and sun terrace. Two of the rooms are located separately for added privacy.
These rooms are interconnected and perfect for a family or friendship group. The deluxe rooms feature air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, plenty of storage space, a writing desk, a mini-bar-style fridge, a private bathroom with a hot shower, and a small terrace or seating area to the front.
Sumalee suites
If you are looking for more luxury, you may wish to consider the Sumalee suites. These four upgraded rooms are also on-site, set apart from the rest of the resort, allowing guests more privacy and space. Set on stilts in natural marshland, the suites provide unique and breathtaking views of the surrounding area and indigenous wildlife. The Sumalee suites offer everything included in the deluxe option, as well as an open-plan lounge and bedroom area, a large desk for those who work on the go, and a compact kitchen area that includes a microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, and a large fridge or freezer.
Programm
Sumalee's Balinese-style yoga shala provides a tranquil setting for yoga practice on the tropical island of Phuket. The resort has excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, aerial yoga studio, massage shala, restaurant, and chill-out area. The accommodation is of a high standard. This retreat is for beginner's to intermediate-level yoga practitioners and focuses on the Vinyasa and Hatha styles. It is for people who would like to combine their yoga practice with Muay Thai. The retreat is all-inclusive (breakfasts, lunches, and dinners six days a week) with food provided by the onsite kitchen and restaurant.
The days start with a Muay Thai group class (optional) at 7:30 a.m. There is another group Muay Thai class at 4:00 p.m. Yoga is at 10:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Additional yoga lessons can be arranged (at an extra charge). Breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are served at the onsite restaurant. There will be one yoga session along with two group Muay Thai training sessions Monday to Saturday. For centuries, the practice of yoga has been used to develop physical, mental, and spiritual health. Sumalee Boxing Gym has found that the benefits of yoga complement the Muay Thai training program perfectly. Yoga can be used to increase:

Khru Keng
Khru Keng is 30 years old and joins the team from the Surin Province in the East of Thailand. He started training at nine years old with friends and has been part of the Muay Thai scene ever since. He also began fighting locally at nine years old before joining Jor. Looksamut Gym in the Samut Prakan province of Bangkok. He is a former Chonburi province Champion, but perhaps his most notable achievement was winning a trophy at the Channel 7 awards for best technique. Keng is best known for his powerful and precise elbows, particularly his back spinning elbow. He speaks basic english.
Khru Rune
Khru Rune (fighting name Phetpirune Sumalee) comes from Surin. He started fighting when he was eight years old. He is good friends with Khru Keng. They have both trained together back in Surin. At just 19 years of age, Khru Rune has over 60 fights under his belt with most of his fights ending in a knockout. His style is somewhat similar to Pornsanae Sitmonchai. Khru Rune is still very much an active fighter and will continue to fight locally
Lage
Sumalee is located in Phuket, Thailand. The resort sits in beautiful countryside, within an old banana and coconut plantation. Much of the immediate area remains undeveloped to provide an unspoiled and serene backdrop to the retreat. It is extremely peaceful at the resort. Everything is within easy access, including Phuket International Airport, many beautiful beaches, the famous Laguna area with its upmarket restaurants and shops, the Central Festival Shopping Mall, Patong with its nightlife, and Phuket town with its beautiful historic quarter.

During your free time, there are many things to do close by. Within walking distance, you can visit many temples and shrines, the Royal Phuket Marina, Phuket Boat Lagoon, Anthem Wake Park, the National Museum of Phuket, a golf driving range, and the Royal Gems Pavilion. Slightly further afield, there are many famous marinas and beaches. Cape Yamu with its stunning views over Phang Nga Bay is in the vicinity.
There are islands to visit, Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yai Noi. Other places nearby are Laguna Phuket with the thriving Boat Avenue, Bang Tao Beach (offering horseback riding along the beach), Surin Beach (well-known for surfing), Bang Pae waterfall, the gibbon rehabilitation project, elephant camps, Phuket Town with its historic quarter, and Patong, known for its lively nightlife.
If you are a kitesurfing or windsurfing enthusiast, Nai Yang Beach is within easy driving distance. Sirinath National Park, Splash Jungle Waterpark, and Khao Lak are all easily accessible. In the immediate vicinity of the gym, there are many local Thai restaurants and bars offering extremely good value for money. Excursions can be arranged to outlying islands, tourist attractions elsewhere in Phuket, and birdwatching (extra charge). Massages are available at an additional cost.
