Jaipur: Khandela Haveli - 2 nights

Khandela is an ancient town (more than 2000 years old) and was ruled by various dynasties of the Rajput clans. Raja Raisal from the Shekhawat clan of Rajputs established his rule over the Shekhawati region with Khandela as its capital from 1538 – 1615 AD and the descendants ruled the state till Indian independence. The present owners are the 17th and 18th Generation of Raja Raisal.

The descendants of Raja Raisal during their rule also developed the region of Shekhawati to make it an internationally renowned tourist destination, specially highlighting the architecture of Havelis (residence of the elite), castles and forts.

Agra: Royal Regent - 1 night

Located at the center of the tourist zone of the Mughal city Agra, with a magnificent view of the Taj at its backdrop, Hotel Royale' Regent is central to all the main attractions of the city and is one of the easiest accessible hotels in the town. Program

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

On arrival at Delhi International Airport, after clearing immigration formalities, you will meet East Voyages' representative in the arrival hall holding a paging of your name. He will further assist you with your vehicle and then hotel check-in formalities. (standard check-in time is at 12:00). This evening enjoys a cooking demonstration with a local family in Delhi followed by dinner.

An authentic culinary experience includes an understanding of the basic ingredients of creating the perfect dish, applying simple nuances to it and indulging the tummy and the heart with it. This experience combined a perfect culinary experience all in one, simple three-course itinerary. Starting time is 17:00. (please book your arrival flight in Delhi accordingly). This culinary will be available on the quoted additional supplement.

Day 2: Delhi

Breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast, you will proceed for a combined full-day city tour of Old and New Delhi. You start the tour from Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk this part of Delhi will take you into the Old Mughal era while walking through old lanes you can see big wooden carved antique doors, big havelis (mansion), narrow lanes and busy bustling life. You must taste lip-smacking street food in the Old Delhi market area.

Enjoy Old Delhi food tour from Chawri Bazar Metro Station Outside Exit Gate - 3 ( Land Mark: near shop no. 3487-88 Chowk HauzQazi / Ashok Chat Corner. (Timing: in summer 08:00 till 12:00 / Winter 08:30 till 12:30)

  • What to wear: Because of the little conservative society in Old Delhi - Ladies, please dress modestly (wear a dress that covers your shoulders and your legs below the knees), Please ensure you are carrying a cap for adequate protection against the sun. Usually, you have to take off footwear to visit Indian houses but check with your host as this rule may apply only to some areas of the house.

Post lunch, visit New Delhi or Lutyens Delhi, beautifully designed by “Sir Edwin Lutyens”, and drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Connaught Place. Later continue the sightseeing visiting Humayun Tomb, the tomb was built in 1570 and was the first garden-tomb made by Humayun’s son Akbar. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Conclude the sightseeing with the visit to “Qutub Minar”, the stunning red stone tower is 72.5 m high with 2.75m in diameter. It is also a UNESCO site. In the evening, enjoy a biryani dinner at a local restaurant on a fixed menu basis. This day food walk and evening dinner will be available on the quoted additional supplement.

Day 3: Delhi - Amritsar by flight

Breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast there will be an assisted transfer to the airport to board the flight for Amritsar. Meeting and assistance on arrival at Amritsar airport and transfer to hotel.

Later in the afternoon proceed for the Wagha Border visit. The Wagah Border Ceremony is a military practice carried out by the Indian Border Security Force and Pakistan Rangers. The soldiers treat it with absolute seriousness.

Return to hotel. The evening be the witness of procession of Palki Sahib at Golden Temple. Eleventh guru of Sikh. Dinner will be at a local restaurant. Enjoy starters like Tandoori Chicken, paneer tikka, Chicken tikka. This dinner is included. On this day, lunch will be on a direct payment basis and; dinner is included.

Day 4: Amritsar

Breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast visit Golden Temple, then visit the community kitchen. Later visit Jaliawala Bagh and the local market.

The most sacred of Sikh shrines, the Golden Temple, is a major pilgrimage destination for devotees from around the world, as well as an ever-increasing popular tourist attraction. Construction of the Amrit Sarovar (pool of nectar) was initiated by Guru Amar Das, the third Guru, in 1570 and was completed by Guru Ram Das, the fourth Guru. During the sightseeing, the guide will give a small introduction about Sikkhism.

You will also do a food walk covering local eateries markets and taste the mouthwatering street foods and snacks of Amritsar. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Later explore the shopping area of the city.

In the evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration followed by dinner with a local family. They will explain to you about their food habits and about the spices. You will also know the culture of this part of India. This day food walk, lunch, and cooking demonstration will be available on the quoted additional supplement.

Day 5: Amritsar - Jaipur via Delhi by flight

Breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast at hotel. Post breakfast, assisted transfer to airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi airport connect the flight for Jaipur.

Jaipur is also known as pink city because of its wall color which are exclusively painted in pink color. This colorful city has chaotic streets, colorful auto rickshaws and lively culture. It is the gateway to Rajasthan vacation, here you can still see royal life, forts and Palaces reflecting glorious past.

On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later lunch will be at a local restaurant on a direct payment basis. Evening enjoys cooking demonstration followed by dinner with a local family. It will be available on the quoted additional supplement.

Day 6: Jaipur

After early breakfast, proceed to visit Amber Fort en-route and stop at Hawa Mahal for clicking some pictures, it is a stunning 5 story building. It was built to enable royal ladies to see the daily lives of the city or some function or procession as in those days, ladies had to cover their faces. Visit Amber Fort by shared jeep/ elephant.

Later enjoy a food walk at a local market and taste local street food. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Also, visit a sweet shop where you can taste 2 sweets of your choice. You can then buy for yourself these sweets and savory ones. Lunch and food walk will be available on an additional supplement. Later, visit the City Palace (Royal residence) and observatory (Jantar Mantar).

In the evening, you will visit bustling yet colorful market showcasing beautiful handicraft, Rajasthan jewelry and shoes. You can get your hand painted with traditional Indian design of henna. It looks awesome. Evening dinner at a local restaurant on a fixed menu basis on a direct payment basis.

Day 7: Jaipur - Agra

  • Approximately 5.5 hours drive

Breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast, drive to Jaipur en-route and visit Fatehpur Sikri. The short-lived capital of Mughal emperor Akbar “Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kilometers away from Agra. Sufi Saint Salim Chisti from Sikri village predicted the birth of an heir to the Mughal throne. Akbar then built this beautiful monument which blends Mughal and Persian art.

Continue driving to Agra. On arrival, check in at the hotel. The land of the Taj is not only famous for the biggest allure “Taj Mahal” but also for the legacy of the Mughals which they had left behind. Their legacy can be seen in mausoleums, tombs, and magnificent forts.

Later visit a marble workshop and see the artist preparing different marble objects. Visit a Petha shop (the famous sweet of Agra made of pumpkin white ash gourd. If got permission, you will see the making of Petha (purely subject to permission). Evening enjoy dinner at a local restaurant (Pinch of Spice). It will be available on the quoted supplement.

Day 8: Agra - Delhi

Early morning, you will visit the beautiful Taj Mahal. During sunrise, the sun's rays have a magical effect on the marble surface. It changes its color which creates eternal beauty (closed on Friday).

Return to hotel for breakfast. Afternoon Agra Fort. Red Fort is a UNESCO heritage site. It is a major tourist attraction from all over the world. The fort is built in red stone to make it the main residence of the Mughals. Lunch will be on a direct payment basis.

Later drive to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, dinner will be at a local restaurant. Dinner will be available on a direct payment basis or as per quoted supplement .After dinner, you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for your onward destination.

  • Walking tours require approximately 1.5 to 2 hours walk on the road so the guests should be physically fit to walk.
  • Foodies are welcome on this tour however should be aware that Indian food is spicy, although the restaurants you will be taken to use spices according to foreigners' taste, they may find it a little extra spicy while tasting food with local vendors. Everyone is requested to carry proper medication to avoid any stomach issues during the tour.
  • For All the cooking demonstrations organized at Indian houses, the house lady or man will cook the local delicacies for guests.
