Composed of whimsically superimposed cubes that seem to surge forcefully from the center of the earth; punctuated by French windows that flood the rooms with views of the relaxing scenery. Hotel Viura is a pioneer in supporting sustainable and eco-friendly development. Their compromise is to offer a service of the best quality and comfort according to the highest standards of environmental responsibility.
Peace and harmony resonate throughout LeDomaine. In the former hostelry, the 27 double rooms and 3 suites of LeDomaine have been carefully restored and fitted out in a unique style in keeping with the requirements of a 5-star hotel with all the services guests expect to find in a luxury hotel, such as a full catering service.
Eight of the double rooms are located in the building of the former abbey stables and are directly connected to El Santuario, the new LeDomaine Wellness & Spa Centre. From each room, guests can see that, during their stay, they will be immersed in a genuine ocean of vines.
It is important to remember that the hotel is located in the 12th-century Abbey of Santa María de Retuerta and offers a perfect association between people and nature, as is true of all genuine Romanesque architecture.
Palacio de Canedo has 14 rooms that will all surprise you. They are totally different from each other, each one with its own history, although, yes, all decorated in the same style and in absolute harmony with the main building and its environment. Some refer to the old lords of Canedo; others have the most suggestive and evocative names. From all of them, you can enjoy splendid views of the vineyard and the Bierzo, in any of the seasons.
Palacio de Canedo is listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest by the Junta de Castilla y León. To sleep in El Bierzo in a monument there is only this palace, which some guides call hotel, other charming hotel, rural hotel, or rural inn. The adjectives are put by the client, and the building is for many.
They like to call him Posada. A place to rest and unwind, but also to feel and enjoy. They combine the aesthetics of the rustic with the honesty of the construction materials and decoration, in accordance with the monument in which we are.
Staying at El Bierzo and doing it at the Posada del Palacio de Canedo is to connect with the best of time already forgotten but with the comfort that we demand from a hotel today.
In the heart of the Ribeira Sacra region, a uniquely beautiful natural area in inland Galicia that is home to the Miño and Sil rivers, concealed within a great cloak of green woods, stands Santo Estevo Monastery, which has been converted into a beautiful Parador.
The monastery's origins are believed to date back to the 6th and 7th centuries. It is easy to distinguish elements of the baroque and Romanesque styles and the building has three incredible cloisters: one Romanesque, one Gothic and the third Renaissance, where you can spend a peaceful evening in a subdued atmosphere with the soft sounds of religious music as an accompaniment. Its beauty and historical features led the building to be declared a historic-artistic site in 1923.
77 guest rooms, each of them different, offer views of the green landscape and the amazing Sil River Canyon. At the Parador, you will also enjoy the restaurant terrace beside the chestnut wood; a terrace café in the porter's office cloister; beautiful, spacious function rooms perfect for celebrations; and lovely gardens. Peace and tranquility await in this beautiful place, which also features an exclusive spa with incredible views - all you have to do is come for a stay.
