The longer you fast, the more profound the detox process will be. Physically, emotionally and mentally our bodies are accustomed to one-week cycles. After seven days of fasting, you are sure to break certain habits and have more clarity about with what and how you nuture your body. Also, there is a natural cycle of biological rejuvenation so passing the cycle of seven days assures cell renewal in many different processes of your body. Fasting not only eliminates harmful toxins within the body, but removes and replaces potentially diseased cells within us. With the eight-day program, you can benefit from a deeper process of detoxification. Each day is one more step towards clarity, energy, inner peaces and well-being.
Combined with the previous week of preparation, this retreat will help you to become aware of certain behavioral patterns in your diet, enabling you to realize the attachments you have to certain types of food and ways of eating. It will allow you a break in your usual rhythm of life, a meeting point to empty some of the weight that you carry in your day-to-day. The process of the liquid fast can be a very transformative experience, and Eco Detox aims to support you both during and after the fast to help you create and maintain a healthier relationship both with yourself and the food you intake.
The contact with nature, breathing techniques, yoga, movement, and meditation helps create a peaceful environment so you can connect to your essence and rest for a few days from the hustle and bustle to which we are so accustomed. Losing weight is a consequence of this work, but is by no means our main motivation.
Advice during fasting
It is recommended but by no means obligatory to participate in the yoga, movement, and breathing classes. Not only do they help to activate those parts of the body that are working on cleansing in a relaxed manner, but they also help with emotional release, help you to reconnect to your essence, and create unique bonds with the rest of the group. They encourage you not to fall into the temptation of spending too many hours lying down. If you cross the threshold of fatigue, the body responds with a pro-active attitude. It is advisable to take a rest during the fast, we encourage you to listen to what your body needs and make time for moments of silence and stillness.
This is also a time to rest the body and switch off from the stresses and constant doing of everyday life. Smoking is in contrast to this detox process and we encourage you to cut down or stop during the retreat. However, if this causes more stress and you do want to smoke, you need to do it outside the grounds of the house. The use of mobile phones should be limited during the retreat. We encourage the cleansing process also be accompanied by a digital detox.
