On this 8-day guided tour, you will be taken on an unforgettable motorcycle trip riding some of the most awesome roads in Spain. Visiting areas of truly outstanding natural beauty such as Las Alpujarras, Los Acantilados, Maro-Cerro Gordo, and Sierra Nevada Natural Parks. They are highly utilitarian, ample in power / performance, and a blast to ride—the perfect bike for touring this part of the world!
The accommodation for the duration of this tour will be in Enfield Classic Moto Tours' hostel in Salobreña. The hostel is laid out on two levels, with a roof terrace and has excellent views of the Sierra Nevada and its surrounding mountains.
Each room has its own private bathroom and a communal sitting / dining area. There is also a patio on the ground floor and a roof terrace. There are shops and supermarkets in the village, along with tapas bars and restaurants.

Day five of this tour will include an exploration of the magnificent "Cuevas de Nerja". This series of huge caverns is home to the world’s largest stalagmite, a 32-meter-high column measuring 13 meters by 7 meters at its base. After lunch, you can relax on one of the many small beaches or swim and snorkel in the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean Sea. If you fancy something a little more adventurous, the Enfield Classic Moto Tours team can also organise scuba diving, jet skiing, or sea kayaking (extra cost, let them know when booking so they can organize it well in advance).
Come and explore this beautiful corner of Europe and discover the "real" Spain. You will not be disappointed.
You are more than welcome to join this tour on your own Royal Enfield or Classic Moto.
Arrive at either Malaga (AGP) or Granada (GRX) airport, where you will be met by one of the tour staff members and be transported to the accommodation. After filling out the required paperwork, you will be given a short safety briefing and introduced to your Royal Enfield.
Following this, you have the remainder of the day to do as you please. There is a good choice of restaurants and tapas bars in the village, some offering their menus in English. Feel free to wander through the narrow, winding streets in the old Arabic Quarter of the village taking in the stunning views of the Sierra Nevada, surrounding countryside and 15th century Moorish Castle at the top.
After having breakfast, the tour begins. Heading south east, through Tajo de los Vados Gorge and the small mountain village of Lentegi, you arrive in "El Parque Natural Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama."
Riding along El Camino de Cabera, you start heading west towards Pantano de los Bermejales (El Lago Azul) and Alahama de Granada where you shall stop to have lunch. You will then head off around the north side of the lagoon and start to make your way back towards Las Sierras de Albuñuelas and Otivar, arriving back at our base around 6 p.m.
A fabulous day on the road is promised with stunning views out over the sea as you journey south to Salobreña, then west along the coast towards La Herradura and Los Acantilados de Maro-Cerro Gordo Natural Park.
Turning inland, you start your ascent to Frigiliana, passing through the picturesque village and onto La Sierra De Competa for some stunning views of the Andalucian coastline. Hopefully, if the conditions are right, you will enjoy excellent views of Morocco across the Mediterranean Sea.
Winding your way along "La Ruta de Mil Curvas" (the route of 1000 curves), you will arrive at Canillas de Aceituno, where you shall stop for lunch. Starting your descent heading south, you will pass through Árchez then Torrox before turning east and following the coastal road back to your base.
This morning, you'll set off in the direction of Granada before heading east through Lanjarón and into Las Alpujarras. Today’s tour will pass through Spain's highest mountain villages, which are Pampaneira, Capileira, Bubion, and Trevelez (the highest village in Spain), where you will be stopping for an authentic “Alpujarreño” lunch. Heading off again, you pass through Juviles and Bérchules before turning south west through Cadiar for your return journey to your base in Salobreña.
This morning, you will take a break from riding and travel by car to the quiet, picturesque little fishing village of Maro to visit the magnificent Caves of Nerja. This series of huge caverns stretching for almost 5 kilometers are home to the world’s largest stalagmite, a 32-meter high column measuring 13 meters by 7 meters at its base.
After visiting the caves, you shall head towards Nerja, stopping off on the way to view the impressive El Acueducto del Águila. Built in 1879 to carry water from Nerja town to the local sugar refinery in Maro, it is still in use today carrying water for local irrigation.
Arriving in Nerja, you will make your way to Balcon de Europa for lunch and take in the stunning views of both the Costa Tropical and Costa del Sol. After lunch, you can relax on one of the many small beaches or snorkel and swim in the crystal clear water of the Mediterranean Sea.
Following breakfast, today will see you travel east through Torvizcón and Almegíjar. Turning south from Cherin, you will head for Embalse de Beninar before ending up at Murtas, where you shall be visiting a traditional bodega and stopping for lunch.
On your return journey, you will continue south through La Sierra de Contraviesa, before winding your way south through La Sierra De Alheyon and west along the coast road towards Malaga and your final leg of the journey back to base.
Today will see you heading west to Sierra de Los Guajáres, then north towards Granada, ending up in Sierra Nevada National Park where you will stop to have lunch. Heading off again, you will make your way to Güéjar Sierra and Pinos Genil before making your final descent through Suspiro Del Moro, Acebuches, and back to Salobreña, arriving back around 6 p.m.
You are leaving today, so you will be transported to the airport for the flight home. Hopefully, you will have had an unforgettable experience with Enfield Classic Moto Tours. Goodbye for now and thank you for touring with Enfield Classic Moto Tours.
You will experience this tour on a Royal Enfield Bullet, and you will soon discover how amazing these robust machines really are. They are highly utilitarian, ample in power and performance, as well as a blast to ride—the perfect bike for touring this part of the world. You bring your own Royal Enfield or rental bike, inclusive of 5 days. Also, you are advised to get yourself an International Driving Permit (IDP).
On arrival, you are required to pay an Accidental Damage Deposit of 500 EUR (or equivalent if you prefer to pay in your local currency and preferably in cash) to cover damages to any of the motos. This will be returned in full at the end of your tour, provided no damage has been caused.
Most have dropped their bikes at some stage of their riding career; they have found Enfields to be very forgiving in this respect. Minor damage can sometimes be fixed easily in-house, but sometimes it cannot. If any of the motos are dropped or crashed, causing damage that cannot be repaired in this manner, you are liable for the cost of the repair. This will be deducted from your Accidental Damage Deposit. Thankfully, this is a rarity!
While out on a tour, there will be a few stops during the day for refreshments, e.g. tea, coffee, or non alcoholic cold beverages.
