Flow Retreat is located within Chu Resort, offering retreat guests an exclusive space surrounded by natural scenery with a touch of luxury.

Flow Retreat guests have unlimited access to all Chu Resort’s on-site facilities, including natural thermal springs, a swimming pool, lounge areas, a restaurant, and a bar. Every morning from 7 - 8 a.m., Flow Retreat guests can also enjoy private access to natural thermal springs.

There are three different types of rooms to choose:

  • Private forest chalet with comfy double bed and bathtub
  • Private forest chalet with two twin beds and Japanese-style tatami meditation area
  • 2 floors private forest chalet with comfy double bed and bathtub

Program

At Flow, you're invited to do as little or as much as you like. You can enjoy a variety of specially curated wellness experiences, slow down or meditate in the comfortable Forest Chalet, book a relaxing Ayurvedic warm oil massage, or enjoy many facilities on site.

Your morning begins with practicing gentle yoga and meditation, tasting fresh and delicious foods, bathing in natural hot springs, and enjoying precious self-care time. In the afternoon, you're invited to recharge your five senses - laugh, paint, dance, explore, and bond with other like-minded friends in the Flow Inspirations Workshops. By nightfall, you are guided to deeply relax with an evening yoga Nidra, preparing your mind and body for a good night's sleep.

Now visualize yourself post-retreat - glowing, empowered, and bursting with renewed excitement for life. You're filled with new inspirations, and insights, and feel confident with the useful tools you've learned to continue your wellness journey at home.

Included excursions

Local excursions include visits to an organic farm and horse therapy, both nearby. Other excursions are possible, if you have an idea or destination in mind please contact Flow Retreat about it and they can try to make it happen.

Beautiful Ingredients

Flow Retreat uses fresh, seasonal, organic, and minimally processed whole foods wherever possible. All of the foods are cooked only with the highest quality olive, coconut, avocado, and ghee. Hualien, Taiwan is known for its rich soils producing an abundance of produce from juicy watermelon, fragrant passion fruits, soft guava, vibrant leafy greens, sweet red rice, and many more. Flow Retreat is forever grateful for this land, and every produce is sourced directly from local farmers we know and partners we trust to guarantee quality and freshness.

Cooked with love

The master chef is passionate about food; he prepares every dish with love to inspire and nourish the soul. Each meal is thoughtfully designed to provide a balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, and a complete array of vitamins and minerals.

Special requests

Flow Retreat accommodates vegan and gluten-free diets, and other minor food allergies if given one week's notice. Please specify your request and we will do our best to meet your needs!

Please note the kitchen prepares meals containing nuts, onion, garlic, and ginger. Flow Retreat cannot guarantee 100% that traces of these items will not be in the foods.

Drink

Filtered drinking water and locally grown herbal tea are available for your enjoyment throughout the retreat. Freshly squeezed juices are also served during breakfast each morning. Flow Retreat does not serve caffeine and alcohol in the retreat, however it is available for purchase at the resort bar should you wish to enjoy some.

How to get there

Driving directions from north of Hualien:

  • Drive southbound along the Provincial Highway No. 9 (Suhua Highway), passing through Hualien City and then taking Xinfengping Bridge.
  • Through the bridge, turn right at 270 KM on the Highway to see the accommodation area and the reception hall.

Driving directions from Taitung:

  • Drive northbound along Provincial Highway No. 9 and pass through Fenglin Township.
  • Before Xinfengping Bridge, turn left at 270 KM on the Highway No. 9 to see the accommodation area and the reception hall.

Driving around the Hualien area is an easy way to map out a travel itinerary. Car rentals are available by Hualien railway station. Please ask Flow Retreat for the itinerary recommendation.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). From the airport, you can continue your journey by public transport (airport MRT to Taipei Main Station, then train) or rent a car. Airport transfer is not included in the price of the retreat.

Arrival by train

From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport you will easily find MRT to get to Taipei Main Station, from there take the Taiwan Railway (TRA) to Linrong Shin Kong, Fenglin, or Shoufeng stations. You can book these tickets in advance on the Taiwan Railway website.

Linrong Shin Kong station is very closely located at Chu Resort/Flow Retreat. Fenglin and Shoufeng are about a 10-20 minute drive away.

Flow Retreat can arrange a taxi pickup service for you from Fenglin or Shoufeng station. The estimated price is NT$ 250 - NT$ 300, and you will pay the taxi meter fares to the driver directly. Please make a request at least 3 days before your arrival, providing the number of passengers, arrival station, arrival time, and train number. Maximum 4 passengers per car (luggage not included). Change or cancel a minimum of four hours prior to the estimated arrival time to avoid a no-show or cancellation fee.

Arrival by local train

  • If you are unable to book a ticket to Linrong Shin Kong directly or are coming from Hualien City, you can take a local train from Hualien Station to Linrong Shin Kong station (approximately 30 mins). Local trains cannot be booked in advance but they typically have plenty of space, please check the TRA timetable for the train schedule.

Arrival by train and bus:

  • From Taipei Main Station, take the Taiwan Railway to Hualien Station; then take bus no. 303 Hualien Route (bound for Fenglin) at the station’s East Exit to get to Flow Retreat. Please buy the ticket with exact change on the bus or use a refillable EasyCard to pay.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 100% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
