Program
First day
Confined dive including regulator recovering and clear and partial mask flood and clear. In the afternoon open water dive up to 5 metres without any exercises.
Day two
Confined water dive rep regulator recovers and clears, partial mask flood and clear, full flood mask and clear. Buoyancy control. The same exercises apply to dive no 2 maximum depth of 10 metres.
Day 3
Confined water dive repetition partial mask flood and clear, regulator recover and clear, equipment removal and replacement, weight belt removal and replacement. Dive 3 repetitions of all exercises apart from weight belt removal and replacement.
Day 4
Open water dive to 14 metres Controlled emergency swimming ascent. Buoyancy control, no mask swim, regulator removal and replacement. Afternoon Dive to 18 metres equipment removal and replacement, controlled emergency swimming ascent. Enjoying seminary and diving.
Instructors
Joseph Galea
Joseph Galea comes from Malta mainland but his favourites diving spots are here in Gozo. He is 35 years old and can speak Malese, English, Italian, and French.
Location
The location is a small village of 1200 people. It is famous for the round facade of the 350 churches dedicated to the visit of St. Mary to St. Elisabeth. There are many old houses with natural stone galleries. In the village, one can find several good value-for-money restaurants on the main road.
There is also Ta` Pinu sanctuary which is also dedicated to St. Mary which is one of the most visited churches in Malta and Gozo. One can find writings from people who were sick or in an accident and claim their healing from the Madonna.
Ten minutes away is also Dwejra Bay famous for the best diving in Gozo. One can find the famous Blue Hole of Gozo, The inland sea where one can also visit the cave with a boat trip, and also the Fungus Rock and tower which was built in the 1500s as a guard from the Turks.
