The trail delights with charming small towns and nostalgic train depots which have been converted into visitor’s centers, cafés, and gift shops. After our lunch stop in W. Newton, you continue on to cool Connellsville nestled on the bank of the beautiful Yough.

Day 4: Connellsville to Ohiopyle

  • Cycling: 18 Miles (29 km)
  • Lodging: Ohiopyle Suites

Today’s ride is just 18 miles taking us to Ohiopyle State Park. The short ride is intentional so as to allow most of the day for exploration of this amazing area. Options of things to do include river rafting, relaxing on the great swimming beach on the Youghiogheny River, hiking or biking the many trails in the park, or touring one of the two incredible Frank Lloyd Wright Houses - Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, both only a couple of miles from Ohiopyle. For those wishing to tour either house, we’ll shuttle you from Ohiopyle and pick you up after your tour.

Unfortunately, for 2024, your overnight in Ohiopyle falls on Wednesday when Fallingwater is closed, however, those wishing to visit a Frank Lloyd Wright house will definitely not be disappointed with a visit to Kentuck Knob which is equally amazing!

Day 5: Ohiopyle to Meyersdale

  • Lodging: Morguen Toole Factory Hotel
  • 18:00 Pizza social

Today’s ride is all about the scenery, and oh yeah, the Salisbury Viaduct which is over 100’ high and 2,300’ long making for one exciting ride! Our overnight is at the super kitschy and haunted Morguen Toole Factory, where we’ll cheer our last night of the tour with a pizza social.

Day 6: Meyersdale to Cumberland, MD

  • Cycling: 32.5 miles (52.3 km)
  • 14:00 Optional shuttle return to Pittsburgh

Today, you hit the trail for our last 32 miles which takes you through across the Eastern Continental Divide, the Mason-Dixon Line and the Big Savage Tunnel before delivering us to the outskirts of Maryland, where you enjoy a downhill coast on our way to Cumberland and the end of this great ride!
