Accommodation

The accommodation is a boutique scattered hostel featuring four master double bedrooms with views over Assisi, two apartments with two shared bedrooms, and a large cozy living space, where a freshly made breakfast is served every day. The place also includes a communal kitchen where home-cooked dinner are prepared and a lovely garden with hammocks with a swimming pool and a barbecue area to relax at the end of the day.

E-bike and wine tour

You will start your adventure with leisure. E-bike ride around the Umbrian Valley. Ride through the beautiful rolling hills of Umbria enjoying the fascinating fall colors. You will enjoy a wine tasting with a typical Umbrian lunch at our friends’ organic winery.

Truffle hunting experience

Spend a day immersed in the culture and traditions of our family who have been hunting truffles in this region of Italy for centuries unknown.

The olive oil path

You will visit an olive oil mill to learn everything about the gold of Italian cuisine, extra virgin olive oil.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival day l Welcome to Umbria

Benvenuto! Welcome to Umbria. Your guide will pick you up at the arranged meeting point and drive you to your home for the week. Torre del Colle is a tiny village perfectly located to enjoy the beauty of the area. Surrounded by olive groves, yet a few steps away from the historical center of the Borgo of Bevagna. A hidden gem and the perfect get-away surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Now it’s time to relax, enjoy a glass of wine at Sunset and get ready for a group dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 2: E-bike and wine tour

You will start our adventure with a leisure E-bike ride around the Umbrian Valley. Ride through the beautiful rolling hills of Umbria enjoying the fascinating fall colors. You will enjoy a wine tasting with a typical Umbrian lunch at our friends’ organic winery. In the evening, relax with a glass of wine and sit back for a homemade dinner.

Day 3: Hiking Spello, the olive oil path

Spello and its "Gold", the extra virgin olive oil, along with the traditional art festival of flowers Le Infiorate di Spello make this ancient Roman town a must-see. This hiking tour will take you through a breathtaking view of the surrounding valley, still an intact area from a naturalistic point of view, and of the city of Spello in its most hidden and unknown part. You'll also visit the wonderful borgo of Collepino. The trail is very beautiful and pleasant, it follows the ancient Roman aqueduct till the entrance gate of Spello. Once in town, you'll have the opportunity to explore the town and its pedestrian historical center. In the afternoon, we will visit an olive oil mill to learn everything about the gold of Italian cuisine, Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Day 4: Montefalco wine lovers tour

Today, let’s give our legs a rest and get comfy in the van. Engage your senses on a wine-tasting tour through the vineyards of the Montefalco Wineland. Learn about the art of making wine, and immerse yourself in the vineyards of Sagrantino’s Land: The Master of the Wine.

Enjoy a wine-pairing lunch while savoring the wine selection, guided by the winemakers and expert sommeliers.

Experience the authentic Vendemmia, a great opportunity to see the winery at its full operation, smell the mosto in the containers, and watch the local workers picking the grapes by hand with passion and perseverance.

Day 5: Truffle hunting experience

Spend a day immersed in the culture and traditions of our family who have been hunting truffles in this region of Italy for centuries unknown. Our ancestral village of Pettino and the mountain forests and pastures have been owned by our family since the year 1486.

Spend the day with us with our colorful family members, where we’ll share many of our culinary and cultural secrets. We’ll treat you to some amazing Umbrian hospitality, where you’ll experience fantastic food and local wine and enjoy some really spectacular landscapes and scenery.

Day 6: Bike in the morning, cook in the evening!

Spend a day discovering where locals eat, shop and hang out through this fun Umbria Food Tour! The day begins with a visit to an organic flour mill where the bakers will introduce you to the entire transformation process of making bread from grains. Explore Bevagna, a beautiful medieval hamlet, the perfect sleepy town to immerse in the local lifestyle, tasting some local cheese, cold cuts, and whatever is in season! For lunch, enjoy a typical Italian feast at a local family-run farmhouse. Our Umbria "Slow Food" Tour is the perfect gourmet experience for those who want to explore, taste and live the true spirit of the Italian countryside!

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

The nearest is Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi – Umbria International Airport (PEG). Pick-up from this airport is included in the package. This is quite a small airport so, often travelers come from Rome FCO Airport or Florence. From Rome or Florence, travelers can take a train to Foligno train Station (2 hours). The transfer from Foligno to the venue is included. If a group of people, they can request a transfer from Rome (300 EUR per group).
