Program
Within this interplay of drum and dance, so characteristic to Africa, discover a very special connection. Because in the end, all is connected to everything and creates common energy hard to describe. A key feature is the enjoyment and opening of the spine, pelvis, and shoulder movement as independent centers.
As you dance, you "RE-connect" and opening up as an integration of your whole physical, emotional, and spiritual body. Use this movement of your entire body to connect with the moment and express yourselves in a way the verbal expression is much more limited.
It’s about the natural dance impulse, the consistent continuity throughout. A flow of lightness and power, and you realize your breathing. You dance as you breathe. So the suppleness of your movements will be related to your fluent breathing. Breath in, breath out, finding your rhythm, your timing, and tempo; circulation, around energy: rhythm gets born. The most authentic expression of a human being is in its "Music and Dance".

Instructors
Jeanette Edmead
Jeanette did her BA in Spanish and Business at the University of Wolverhampton. She completed her PGCE in Spanish and Business at the prestigious Warwick University. After many years of personal yoga practice, she decided to complete her 200-hour RYS Teacher Training and her Swing Yoga Teacher training with Yogafirst ME. After traveling the earth for the past two decades looking for community, she decided to build her own with Hi Priestess GC. Jeanette is a proud, out, black, queer woman, who is currently on the market.
Jennifer Hofmann
After finishing her thesis in Burkina Faso in women's health, reproductive health, she got involved with various Ethnotherapies. She decided to live in México with her family where she got shared the ancient wisdom and knowledge of traditional midwifery at CASA, Escuela de Parteras Profesionales, San Miguel de Allende. She received great teachings by the Huicholes, Wixaritari, Native Mexicans of the Sierra Madre Occidental about the Dream Work and Spiritual Ceremonial Integrity, and a disciple of the Mazatec curandera, María Sabina, in Huautla, Oaxaca.
Location
The Canary Islands, Spain are made up of seven beautiful and distinct islands. They are located off the North West coast of Mother Africa, so the weather is great all year round.
The islands offer different things to everyone depending on their needs. From pristine beaches where you get different international cuisines to fresh locally produced food in the long sunny days, under the perfect weather, with beautiful sunsets and sand dunes garnished with colorful activities like carnivals, impressive Gay Pride festivals, active volcanos, hiking, and incredible cycling routes.
You can spend all of your holidays with Hi Priestess GC on the island, explore other islands and you can use them as a starting point to visit Mother Africa and Europe.
