Prevention is better than cure. They teach yoga therapy mainly to prevent diseases. 80 percent of modern-day diseases are mind and lifestyle-related psychosomatic diseases. The root cause or risk factors for most of these diseases are mental stress and an unhealthy modern-day lifestyle. By preventing these risk factors, you can prevent diseases. The basis of yoga therapy is to address these risk factors through yoga's lifestyle and prevent these root causes.

By preventing these risk factors or root causes, you can prevent diseases (not to wait till getting diseases and go for yoga therapy, it may be too late). Once you get a disease, it has already affected your physical body. The main objective of yoga therapy must be to nib it in the bud. It must be removed at the mind level, energy level, knowledge level, and bliss level. They teach yoga therapy to remove the root causes, of stress at the mind level and energy level through yoga way of lifestyle in addition to teaching them at knowledge and bliss levels.

They also teach to manage, heal, or reverse the diseases for those who are already affected with diseases by teaching and training them at the mind level, energy level, knowledge level, bliss level, and physical level so that gradually they can change from their unhealthy lifestyle to healthy yoga way of lifestyle. Yoga is a 'mind training' process by joining all five aspects or bodies of your human system. According to Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, “Yoga is a systematic conscious process of mastering the mind”.

The physical body, energy body, mind, knowledge, and bliss are the five aspects or bodies that have to be integrated into the practice of authentic yoga. This will maintain homeostasis and equanimity and promote positive health. The untrained mind is the cause of all modern-day health and social problems. 80 percent of your modern-day diseases are mind-related psychosomatic diseases.

Only when yoga techniques are practiced, involving all five bodies or Pancha kosmos, one will get physical benefits, therapeutic benefits, and spiritual benefits. This holistic practice is traditional mindfulness yoga. This authentic yoga will be taught to you in this 500-hour advanced teacher training course. The therapeutic benefits from all these techniques will prevent and manage most modern-day diseases. You will be trained as a yoga therapist.
