Three sessions per day:
- Morning outdoor training with the coach. Includes running in the mountains, general fitness work, and boxing fitness routines. Duration 1 - 2 hours.
- Afternoon solo session set by the coach. You will need to complete the tasks set by the coach. You can be exempt if you do not feel ready for these tasks. Duration: 1 - 2 hours.
- Evening indoor session at the gym with the coach and local fighters (shadowboxing, sparring, drills, bag work). Every evening will be different. Duration: 1 - 2 hours.
The itinerary is based on your level of boxing, your stated goals, and a pragmatic approach based on your performance. The Iron Curtain Sports team wants to ensure you get the maximum desired results, whilst keeping your health and safety paramount.
If you come between November and March, you will experience that brutal Central Asian winter, running in the snowy mountains, and taking a dip in the freezing Issyk-Kul Lake. Attending between May-September, it gets really hot. April and October are somewhere in between summer and winter in Kyrgyzstan.
The coach is a former champion in Kyrgyzstan. He and his team teach boxing techniques passed down to them from their ancestors - old school, Soviet / Kyrgyz, and tough. Whether you are a novice all the way up to a professional or everything in between you are most welcome.
They will do everything to tweak the training based on your needs. If you are looking for more fitness than boxing training, the training can encompass that. The coach will tailor the camp to your needs.
Children are most welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. By children, we mean anyone under 18 years of age.
