What does a Buchinger-type fasting session look like?
Fasting consists of stopping all food intake, with or without water. It depends on the schools. At the physiological level, fasting begins from the 12th hour without food.
There are two main types of fasting: dry fasting and water fasting. There are several methods and varying durations for practicing fasting. At GoWild, they offer the Buchinger fast.
The Buchinger fasting method was devised by the German physician Otto Buchinger (1878-1966). During the fast, you'll take fruit and vegetable juices, herbal teas, filtered water, and broth, which provide minerals and vitamins. Herbal teas will also be used to stimulate the emunctories (organs that will release toxins from your body and clean it thoroughly during the six days).
Jeuner Chez GoWild offers gentle exercise, hikes, discussion workshops, themed weeks (sugar detox, anti-wrinkle, nutrition, art therapy, etc.). In short, you'll have a unique moment of letting go, deep cleansing, cell renewal, and rest.
Detox cure
The detox cure is not a diet. It is a support and / or a complement to a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Its purpose is to help the body eliminate toxins in order to help it "function" better.
During this type of treatment, it is recommended to consume fruits, vegetables, and plants that provide vitamins, minerals, and trace elements that promote the elimination of toxins.
Plant nutrition treatment
The goal of this week is to boost your fitness and help you get back on track, with reinforced nutritional knowledge. It is a journey to discover a diet that allows you to nourish your body while preserving the planet. Living food is based on the consumption of fruits, vegetables, oilseeds, seeds, and algae. This will be in raw form or in juice, mixed, sprouted, lactofermented, or dehydrated.
Who is it for?
- Anyone in good health who wants to take a real break and regenerate their cells to give their body a boost
How does a week go?
Depending on the week, the fasting cures will have specific themes, which you can choose according to your desires and tastes:
- Sugar detox: Understand everything about daily sugar addiction and how to get rid of it.
- Art therapy: Recharge your batteries by fasting, while practicing art therapy sessions to recharge your body and mind.
- Keys to nutrition: Understand the keys to a balanced, rich, and lively nutrition, in order to start off on the best possible foundation after a six-day fast.
Whatever the chosen theme, the structure of the days and the principles of fasting will remain the same.
The days will start with yoga sessions, a vegetable juice, and a gentle hike, followed by resting and massages as well as workshops on health-related themes.
Please note that Jeuner Chez GoWild will only suggest. You will be free to come to all activities or none; it's your time!
For all stays, yoga workshops on request and / or massages to relax as much as possible will be offered (not included in the price of the stay). Finally, there will also be a possibility of daily walks by the sea or in the forest.
GoWild
After dedicating 15 years of their life to humanitarian work in the field, Jeuner Chez GoWild made the decision to return to France and change careers to devote themself to their second passion: fasting. However, they could not completely detach themself from my first passion.
This is how they founded GoWild, a social enterprise which, in addition to allowing them to pursue their passion for fasting, is also committed to donating 10% of its profits to a humanitarian project.
In “GoWild,” there is the notion of letting go, of returning to the primitive state, to the wild state - because people are genetically programmed to fast; the ancestors fasted between two hunts until the next prey.
One's body fat, which is sometimes hated, is nevertheless the sign of this capacity for survival, of this predisposition to lack. People are more prepared to miss than to overconsume.
