L’Għarix Temple Retreat has its own large private cave where group sessions and workshops, and guided meditations are conducted. The cave is older than the temples themselves and is a place of natural healing energy. In ancient times the temples and caves were said to be used by the goddesses and priestesses and the art of connecting to nature with ceremonies and rituals were a part of daily life.

One-on-one sessions are held in the private studio. Retreat guests can make use of the stunning outdoor pool area and indoor relaxation areas when not in group sessions.

For one-on-one retreats, guest(s) are housed in the Rose Room at L’Għarix. The Rose Room has a double bed, a modern en-suite bathroom, its own private balcony with an exterior entrance. The Rose Room has an air-conditioner for hot nights and a heater for cool ones. There are a bar fridge and kettle with complimentary water, tea, and coffee.

When the Rose Room is unavailable, or for guests who prefer, the Orchid Room is a smaller single room with a modern en-suite bathroom, its own private balcony with an exterior entrance. The Orchid Room has an air-conditioner for hot nights and a heater for cool ones. There are a bar fridge and kettle with complimentary water, tea, and coffee.

In this exclusive, custom-designed, one-on-one retreat, we will explore the root cause of the challenges you are facing (whether physical, mental or emotional) and connect with your higher self to find the healing and clarity you need to move forward.

Through gentle hypnosis and exploratory sessions we acknowledge, understand and release the emotions that no longer serve you. These sessions are complemented with guided meditations on the beach and in a private cave, journaling to record your insights, and walks in nature.

Below is a guideline of the therapy sessions offered at the retreat. Depending on your needs, goals and preferences, L’Għarix Temple Retreat and you will structure your time in the private one-on-one sessions to what will benefit you most.

Transpersonal hypnotherapy

A holistic approach which values the entire person. Transpersonal, by definition, is the crossing of mind, body and spirit or soul. Transpersonal Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy with lasting results. It can be distinguished from many other forms of counselling by its attendance to the spiritual dimension of life.

Transformational coaching

Transformational Coaching allows us to explore our cognitive, sensory, emotional and relational patterns to create a more complete understanding of our perspective on the world. Through this journey of self-discovery and awareness, you can unlock transformative shifts, break-down negative patterns or beliefs that are holding you back, and open the path to achieving the outcomes and changes you want to see in your lives.

Womb regression and inner child

The events and experiences of the past greatly affect your behaviours, attitudes and habits. And a womb and/or inner child regression therapy session can assist with finding, unlocking and resolving issues from your early years that are affecting your adult lives (regardless of whether those negative experiences or events are remembered by your conscious minds).

Energy healing

Energy healing therapy is a powerful approach to wellness that uses your natural energy field to bring body, mind and spirit back into balance. Energy Healing can assist you in finding happiness as you release suffering on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Past life regression

A relaxation process by which you access the deeper levels of your consciousness and soul memories. You all carry memories from past lives, unconscious memories that affect and shape who you are in this life. They affect your relationships, motivations, and behaviours. Using guided imagery and breathing techniques you are progressively moved into a relaxed, meditative state where you can access your higher mind and soul memories through your subconscious.

L’Għarix Temple Retreat, on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Gozo, is built a hundred meters behind the Ġgantija temples which are recognized by UNESCO as the oldest freestanding buildings in the world. They are over 7,500 years old, older than Stonehenge, and the pyramids in Egypt. L’Għarix is said to have been built on a womb temple and is more than 750 years old.

L’Għarix (pronounced La Reesh) is a 5-minute walk from the Xagħra (pronounced shaa-ra) town center.

Gozo is one of 21 islands that make up the Maltese archipelago. Inhabited for thousands of years, it shows evidence of historic immigration and rule by the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Sicilians, French and British, among others. It’s known for its Neolithic Ġgantija Temple ruins, rural hiking paths, beaches, and scuba-diving sites.

Picturesque ix-Xagħra has a particularly rich historical heritage with many historical sites, several museums, beaches, hiking trails, shopping, ocean excursions, and more.
