Women's Divine Inner Goddess Retreat in Malta

The mindful Goddess is a woman who has awakened and is in touch with her divine feminine energy. She is connected to her intuition, her inner wisdom, and her strength. She knows her value and is present in her own life and is curious to find her purpose. She has a deep knowing that there is more and has a need that guides her to find her sisters - the ones who speak her soul language.

L’Għarix Temple Retreat has its own large private cave where group sessions and workshops, and guided meditations are conducted. The cave is older than the temples themselves and is a place of natural healing energy. In ancient times the temples and caves were used by the goddesses and priestesses and the art of connecting to nature with ceremonies and rituals were a part of daily life.

One-on-one sessions are held in the private studio. Retreat guests can make use of the stunning outdoor pool area and indoor relaxation areas when not in group sessions. %*Retreat guests are housed either at L'Gharix Temple Retreat which offers one double (Rose Room) and one single (Orchid Room) or at Ghajn is-Sliem Farmhouse - a beautiful private villa with 2 double rooms, each with a private bathroom, and a shared kitchen, dining, and living area, pool, jacuzzi and more.

The Orchid Room is a smaller single room with a modern en-suite bathroom, its own private balcony with an exterior entrance. The Orchid Room has an air-conditioner for hot nights and a heater for cool ones. There is a bar fridge and kettle with complimentary water, tea, and coffee.

We live in a beautiful time where the goddess or divine feminine has awakened from a forced slumber. For centuries, the patriarchal system has suppressed this divine sacred energy in both the feminine and the masculine. Many women have been triggered and are awakening and remembering who they are.

The Goddess is awake and on the rise. And it is time for you to reclaim your sacred feminine energy. Join us for a three-day Mindful Goddess retreat to start your inner healing and connect to who you are on a soul level.

  • Below is a guideline of L’Għarix Temple Retreat's main 90-minute group sessions at the retreat. Additionally, there are several one-on-one sessions, group discussions and private mediation time.

Divine feminine energy and the chakras

As part of the exploration of the inner Goddess, you start with an overview of the chakra system. The seven main chakras match up with the nerve centers in our bodies. Our body, mind, spirit, and soul are intimately connected.

Energy moves through your chakras and for your physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual state of being to fully connect to our divine it needs to flow with ease. Both the divine feminine and divine masculine are present in your chakras.

The inner Goddess is at her full potential when we balance all seven of your chakras. This interconnection of the chakras ensures that you are whole and that you allow our inner Goddess to guide you. You do a group clearing and balancing the chakra meditation during the last part of this session.

Connecting with your inner goddess

We were put on this earth for a calling and to live to our full potential. What type of Goddess are you? Are you a healer, or a creator, a wild woman, or a priestess? You explore the 7 sacred Goddess archetypes and find the one you resonate with. Identifying your inner Goddess archetype will determine your strengths and shadows, and is an exercise filled with insights.

Guided meditation to meet your goddess

A group guided meditation in the cave takes you on a soul journey to meet your Goddess. In this final step in the mindful goddess journey, you will awaken your divine feminine energy and connect to your intuition, inner wisdom, and strength. You will find your soul purpose and have greater clarity on what it is you need and want to move forward in your life. This relaxing session is accompanied by the sound of singing bowls.

  • A visit to Ggantija Temple is included
  • A visit to Ta’Cenc where we will visit an ancient lessor known temple as a group, you will have time here on your own to reflect, and relax in the beauty and healing energy of this sacred space.

Red tent women’s circle

Additionally, (depending on the date booked) retreat guests will experience L’Għarix Temple Retreat's monthly Red Tent Women’s Circle where around 10 to 16 Red Tent Women's Circle attendees meet at L’Għarix on Friday night closest to the new moon.

The Red Tent is an international movement that creates safe and positive spaces for women to come together in a group and to speak, share, release, relax, create and inspire each other to meet the challenges they face in their daily lives. If this retreat is booked for another weekend a private Red Tent will be arranged.

L’Għarix Temple Retreat, on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Gozo, is built a hundred meters behind the Ġgantija temples which are recognized by UNESCO as the oldest freestanding buildings in the world. They are over 7,500 years old, older than Stonehenge and the pyramids in Egypt. L’Għarix is said to have been built on a womb temple and is more than 750 years old.

L’Għarix (pronounced La Reesh) is a 5-minute walk from the Xagħra (pronounced shaa-ra) town centre.

Gozo is one of 21 islands that make up the Maltese archipelago. Inhabited for thousands of years, it shows evidence of historic immigration and rule by the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Sicilians, French and British, among others. It’s known for its Neolithic Ġgantija Temple ruins, rural hiking paths, beaches, and scuba-diving sites.

Picturesque ix-Xagħra has a particularly rich historical heritage with many historical sites, several museums, beaches, hiking trails, shopping, ocean excursions and more.
