At L’Gharix Temple retreat in Gozo, they offer you an uplifting experience of joy as you immerse yourself in the Mediterranean island life and experience different adventures, whilst improving your health, fitness, and emotional wellbeing.
L’Għarix has its own large private cave where group sessions and workshops, and guided meditations are conducted. The cave is older than the temples themselves and is a place of natural healing energy. In ancient times the temples and caves were said to be used by the goddesses and priestesses and the art of connecting to nature with ceremonies and rituals was a part of daily life. One-on-one sessions are held in the private studio.
Retreat guests can make use of the stunning outdoor pool area, indoor relaxation area, and cave for reflection and private meditation. For one-on-one retreats, guests are housed in the Rose Room at L’Għarix. The Rose room has a double bed, a modern en-suite bathroom, and its own private balcony with an exterior entrance. The Rose room has an air-conditioner for hot nights and a heater for cool ones.
There is a bar fridge and kettle with complimentary water, tea, and coffee. When the Rose room is unavailable or for guests who prefer, the Orchid room is a smaller single room with a modern en-suite bathroom and its own private balcony with an exterior entrance. The Orchid room has an air-conditioner for hot nights and a heater for cool ones. There is a bar fridge and kettle with complimentary water, tea, and coffee.
Be it a walk to the ancient temples with your friends along beautiful, wild trails or exploring a cave that overlooks the most beautiful beach, then relaxing on the beach and taking an invigorating dip in the sea. Experiencing a hypnotherapy session to help you heal or a guided meditation to deepen your relaxation. Simply give yourself this gift of time away from your busy life to rest both your body and mind with no guilt attached.
Sharing experiences like this with your best friend or friends, siblings, or children, these like-minded, inspiring, and encouraging souls, having a giggle, a laugh, and fun, is invigorating. L’Għarix Temple Retreat, on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Gozo, is built a hundred meters behind the Ġgantija temples which are recognized by UNESCO as the oldest freestanding buildings in the world. They are over 7,500 years old, older than Stonehenge and the pyramids in Egypt. L’Għarix (pronounced La Reesh) is said to have been built on a womb temple and is more than 750 years old. L’Għarix is a five-minute walk from the Xagħra (pronounced shaa-ra) town center.
Gozo is one of 21 islands that make up the Maltese archipelago. Inhabited for thousands of years, it shows evidence of historic immigration and rule by the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Sicilians, French, and British among others. It is known for its Neolithic Ġgantija Temple ruins, rural hiking paths, beaches, and scuba-diving sites. Picturesque Xagħra has a particularly rich historical heritage with many historical sites, several museums, beaches, hiking trails, shopping, ocean excursions, and more.

Filled with historical monuments from ancient times, Gozo has rich healing energy. Some of the best sites to visit include:
Consisting of two temples that date back to between 3600 and 3200 BC, the Ġgantija Temples are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The site is considered as one of the oldest free-standing monuments in the world, preceding Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Some of the megaliths of the Ġgantija Temples exceed five meters in length and weigh over fifty tons.
Towering high above Victoria, the capital city of Gozo, sits a majestic fortified town known locally as the Cittadella. The Cittadella rests atop a steep hill with cliff faces on many sides. The natural defenses of the area as well as the spectacular views of the whole island have made it a very popular settlement location since Neolithic times.
The Wied il-Mielaħ Window is a limestone natural arch on the north-western coast of the island of Gozo in Malta. It is located at the end of the valley Wied il-Mielaħ north of the village of Għarb.
On the north coastline of Gozo, just past Qbajjar Bay west of Marsalforn, the coast is characterized by beautiful rock-cut saltpans protruding into the sea. These 350-year-old salt pans, which are roughly 3km along the shoreline, are more than just picturesque. They are part of the centuries-old Gozitan practice of Sea-Salt production that has been handed down through some families for generations.
Ta’ Kola Windmill is one of the few surviving windmills on the Maltese Islands dating back to the Knights’ Period. Its origins go back to 1725 during the magistracy of Grand Master Manoel de Vilhena (1722-36). Nowadays, the windmill houses one of the largest known collections of tools, some of which were manufactured by the last miller who lived inside the mill. The site offers a glimpse into the traditional rural life of the locals during the past centuries.
One healing massage session is included in the price.
