How physically demanding is the trip?
Activities are accessible, but some walking across uneven terrain is required to reach the sites. You should feel comfortable with light to moderate walking.

Levi Banner
For Levi, true yoga resides in the breath. It’s the difference between simply stretching and opening a channel to a profound realization. That channel has expanded considerably since he first experienced as a breakdancer. Perhaps the biggest single influence was his first yoga teacher training in 2007 when he stopped eating meat and sugar, drinking alcohol and caffeine, and using drugs. Shortly afterward, Levi started teaching yoga and studied pranayama, meditation, and Iyengar Restorative yoga. As his love for yoga was flowing more powerfully, it was joined by astrology and breathwork.
Daniel Giamario
Daniel Giamario, a master astrology teacher, returns to Callanish for his 15th time, bringing profound insight into the unique lunar alignments of the stones, which have inspired much of his work. Daniel has spent years studying these alignments and their cosmic connections, and he has created unique ceremonies at various sites throughout his many visits. He offers a deep well of knowledge to enhance this experience.

Dating back over 6,000 years, the Callanish Stones continue to draw travelers and seekers to Scotland’s Isle of Lewis. This ancient site serves as a lunar observatory, perfectly aligned with the moon’s cycles to harness cosmic power. During the full moon in June 2025, in the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn, Callanish transforms into a portal, inviting you to step into a realm of mystery beyond the physical world. Sagittarius’s influence emphasizes adventure, spiritual expansion, and a quest for deeper understanding, creating an inspiring atmosphere for exploration and personal growth. Capricorn compels you to apprehend a new operating manual for global humanity, while also respecting the wisdom of the forebears.
Legends speak of enchanted giants embodied in these stones, capturing the spirit of ancient times. This is where the Great Shining Ones returned, pulled to the stones by the powerful energies of the Lunar Standstill. This rare alignment reawakens the gateway, offering a unique moment to walk among these stones under the same moon that guided the ancestors.

The cosmic significance of the Callanish Stones
The Callanish Stones are one of the few ancient sites perfectly aligned to mark the Lunar Standstill or Lunar Extreme—a phenomenon occurring only once every 18 to 19 years. It is a rare sight that has been anticipated for years by the school, the Turning of the Ages Mystery School (TOTAMS). This site and several of the stone circles at Callanish have deeply inspired many of Daniel Giamario’s teachings on astrology, making it a meaningful pilgrimage for their community.
This rare alignment reflects a similar cycle to that of the sun: in June, the sun reaches its furthest point south, and in December, it is at its furthest north. During the Lunar Standstill, however, the moon shifts even further north or south than usual. The ancients placed the Callanish Stones specifically to capture this unique phenomenon, which makes the moon appear to "walk" on the land between the stones, on the Cailleach (The Old Woman of the Moors), along the sacred mountain range, unlike other years when it hovers above the horizon.
The journey in June aligns with this powerful cosmic moment, allowing you to witness the moon at its extreme southern point as it touches the land.
