During this week of training, you will have the opportunity to practice all aspects of Filipino Martial Arts. Using weapons such as single and double sticks, knives, and karambit. Also, you will work on striking, self-defense, sticky hands, panantukan. In parallel, you will also want to sharpen your fighting attributes like stamina, speed, functional strength, and flexibility with daily training. You will have 2 hours of training morning and evening. An early session on the beach of breathing exercises / qigong can be added on request.
Martial arts conditioning
Intentionally, various training methods will be blended in order to create a holistic and balanced structure of training that will maximize gains in strength, reduce the risk of injuries, and improve performance.
Eskrima
Eskrima, also known as Kali and Arnis, is a term used for traditional martial arts of the Philippines. Emphasis is put on weapons for these arts. Stick fighting (single and double sticks) is a great way to improve coordination and develop precision and speed. Kali also includes kadena de mano (empty-hands / self-defense) and it is a very efficient system for CQC (close-quarter combat). Using punches, palm strikes, elbows, knees, joint locks, flow drills, etc.
