Torre Ronsat is a large traditional Catalan masia and modernista tower guesthouse set in 20 acres of mature olive groves, landscaped gardens and national parkland, 7 miles from the sea.

Main Farmhouse

The main farmhouse is where breakfast, dinner and all the cooking classes will take place. The bedrooms are upstairs and far away from the action. There is a large living room with fireplace and doors opening out onto the garden for relaxing afternoons. There is also a desk in case anyone needs to work whilst on the retreat.

Modernista Tower

The tower sits 50 meters from the main farmhouse. The tower is self contained with its own kitchen, terrace, lounge space and plunge pool. It sleeps up to 6 guests with the yellow room, blue room and master bedroom. If you choose one bedroom you will be sharing the communal spaces with the other guests. If you wanted to attend the retreat with a group of friends you could book all three!

You will be staying close to some of the most beautiful beaches of the whole of the Mediterranean in an area of natural beauty surrounded by arable farmland, olive groves and vineyards, with the silhouette of the Pyrenees mountains on the horizon.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Girona–Costa Brava Airport (GRO) or Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN).

If you are coming from the Barcelona airport, you will need to get to Barcelona Sants train station where you can take the fast train (AVE) to Girona. These leave frequently and take under 40 minutes, but Mediterranean Food Journeys would advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Girona also has its own airport with frequent flights through Ryanair. Should you decide to fly straight to Girona airport please let them know so they can organize an airport transfer for you. If you need any more help or guidance booking travel please reach out. They would be more than happy to help!

Arrival by train

Girona is the closest big city to Torre Ronsat and a gem to visit in itself! Mediterranean Food Journeys will be making one pick up from Girona train station at 1pm and one at 4pm on the first day to coincide with trains arriving from both Barcelona and Paris.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
