About this private session

You are unique, how you and Frances work together to best achieve your goals will also be. The focus of this therapy together is to give you tools and techniques to equip you for a happier life in the quickest time possible. For a large number of clients, 3 therapy sessions to work on a single issue is enough for rapid life-enhancing change. Frances also always recommends that in addition to therapy work you develop an ongoing mindfulness practice.

Sessions

Following initial consultation appropriate treatment plan will be decided on for the following two sessions. The therapy may include MBRTT, clinical hypnotherapy, mindfulness-based approaches - all to be discussed and decided on in collaboration.

Please note some treatment sessions may run over an hour depending on the process; however, this will be discussed before the session and you will not be charged extra.

In recent years, huge numbers of scientific studies have taken place into the efficacy of the practice of mindfulness in helping reduce the effects of stress and anxiety and improve wellbeing. Some of these claims are so incredible they may seem too good to believe so Frances has provided links to the scientific studies that back them up.

These are a few of the main proven benefits of mindfulness meditation:

  • Anxiety, stress, depression, exhaustion and irritability all decrease with regular sessions of mindfulness meditation
  • Regular meditators are happier and more contented while being far less likely to suffer from psychological distress
  • Mindfulness is at least as good as drugs or counselling for the treatment of clinical-level depression
  • Mindfulness reduces addictive and self-destructive behaviour. These include the abuse of illegal and prescription drugs and excessive alcohol intake
