In Montana Hill Guest Ranch, there are four log cabins nestled among the cottonwoods. The cabins are designed for 2 adults and 2 small children. They are tastefully decorated with antiques and western collectibles. The cabin is appointed with a private en-suite bathroom, kitchenette, TV, plenty of movies, books and games, barbecue, and best of all, a private hot tub on your deck. As a romantic touch, the cabin has a separate bedroom with a handcrafted log canopy bed draped with mosquito netting and plush down duvets. In the main area, there’s a pull out sofa bed just in case you need the extra space and a Vermont cast fireplace stove to create the perfect ambience.

In the main ranch house, you can enjoy a game of billiards, read a book in front of the river rock fireplace decorated with trophy caribou, moose, cougar, and antlers, or take one of the many movies back to your cabin. If you decide to bring your own horse, you’ll have your own shelter and paddock adjoining your cabin. Montana Hill Guest Ranch has all the amenities, such as luxury shampoos, etc., hair blower, robes, and all linens and towel are provided too. Daily maid service is available. Montana Hill Guest Ranch even offer a few Tipees for children.

Montana Hill Guest Ranch has carefully handpicked some amazing horses over the winter, wanting the very best for the guests. Montana Hill Guest Ranch has selected a herd of geldings; and whether you love paints, buckskins, palominos or solid colors, you will be delighted. Montana Hill Guest Ranch has a horse for your specific riding level, and each horse has their own unique and wonderful personality. If you care about the horse you ride, Montana Hill is the guest ranch for you.

Montana Hill Guest Ranch also welcome you to bring your own horses and provide a separate paddock. There are hundreds of miles of trails for you to explore, some of the most scenic anywhere. At the end of the day, come back to your own private log cabin nestled in the cottonwood trees.

Program

On your first day, check in after 15:00 and on your second day, Montana Hill Guest Ranch offers a full gourmet breakfast, starting off with seasonal fruit, freshly baked pastries, and an entrée. Other goodies to look forward to are premium coffee, lattes, and an assortment of specialty teas.

Enjoy a 2-hour introductory horse ride. Montana Hill Guest Ranch has a horse for your specific riding level and each horse has their own unique and wonderful personality. With all the amenities the cabins offered, you will be delighted in the privacy of cooking your own meals in your fully equipped cabin.

Additionally, horseshoes, archery, billiards, hiking, and Wells Grey Park is nearby too, and there are 1500 movie collection to enjoy plus a library and board games. Bring along a bicycle to explore the backroads. The check out on your third day is by 11:00, but not before having your well-deserved delicious breakfast.

Montana Hill Guest Ranch sits in the heart of cowboy country in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia. It has expansive acreage and is nestled in gentle hills with pine trees. It is surrounded by public lands with lakes and scenic trails. The fresh air, panoramic views, and quiet surroundings contribute to an environment that will charge your batteries and relieve the stress of busy lives. It is one of the few ranches where you can bring your own horse. Montana Hill Guest Ranch is a five-hour drive from Vancouver, British Columbia and just an hour and a half north of Kamloops.

A full gourmet breakfast is included every morning, starting off with seasonal fruit, freshly baked pastries, and an entrée. Other goodies to look forward to are premium coffee, lattes, and an assortment of specialty teas. Breakfast is served daily between 08:00 and 10:00 in the main lodge. There is a large family table, and private tables are available on the terrace for you enjoy.

Montana Hill Guest Ranch will prepare your gourmet breakfast with farm fresh eggs and top your morning off with champagne and freshly squeezed orange juice. Then, you can cook your other meals in the privacy of your own cabin or visit one of the local restaurants in the area.

  • Take Highway 1 through Hope and the Fraser Canyon to Cache Creek.
  • At Cache Creek, take Highway 97 north toward 100 Mile House.
  • Just south of 100 Mile House, take Highway 24 east and watch for Montana Hill Guest Ranch sign at approximately 4 kilometers after Bridge Lake.
  • Turn south onto the Machete Lake Road for 5 kilometers (stay right at the fork) until you reach long driveway on the left.

Driving directions from Vancouver (option 2)

  • Take Highway 1 through Hope then onto Highway 5 toward Kamloops.
  • Continue north past Kamloops on Highway 5 (Yellowhead Highway) toward Jasper.
  • At Little Fort, take Highway 24 west to Bridge Lake.
  • Watch for Montana Hill Guest Ranch sign at approximately 4 kilometers before Bridge Lake.
  • Turn south onto the Machete Lake Road for 5 kilometers (stay right at the fork) until you reach long driveway on the left.

Driving directions from Jasper

  • Take Highway 5 (Yellowhead Highway) south toward Kamloops.
  • At approximately 100 kilometers before Kamloops, at Little Fort, take Highway 24 west to Bridge Lake.
  • Watch for Montana Hill Guest Ranch sign at approximately 4 kilometers before Bridge Lake.
  • Turn south onto the Machete Lake Road for 5 kilometers (stay right at the fork) until you reach long driveway on the left.

Driving directions from Whistler

  • Take Highway 99 north to Highway 97 and Clinton.
  • Turn north on Highway 97 toward 100 Mile House.
  • Just south of 100 Mile House, take Highway 24 east and watch for Montana Hill Guest Ranch sign at approximately 4 kilometers after Bridge Lake.
  • Turn south onto the Machete Lake Road for 5 kilometers (stay right at the fork) until you reach long driveway on the left.

Arrival by bus

Bus service runs three times daily to 100 Mile House from Vancouver.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 14 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 14 days before arrival.
