What is the minimum equipment necessary for motorcycle travel in Spain?
The law only requires helmets to be worn at all times and gloves outside urban areas. However, common sense suggests that you should carry more than just the legal minimum, and it's essential to have proper gear including a jacket, gloves, pants, and boots to minimize injuries in case of an accident. We always recommend using appropriate motorcycle gear. Sometimes, when far from home, clothing that isn't specifically designed for motorcycle use but meets minimum protective functions can be considered. Basic equipment includes a jacket for protection from cold and abrasions, sport gloves, and high-top boots.
Do you need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?
In many countries, having an International Driving Permit (IDP) is necessary to drive on their roads. It's crucial to have one to avoid any issues with your insurance. Ensure a smooth journey by obtaining your International Driving Permit before your trip.
