During this tour, you will stay the first night by the Douro Valley (Sabrosa) and the second night in Guimarães (birth of Portugal).
Program
Day 1: Drive from Oporto to Sabrosa, heart of the wine region (180 kilometers / 112 miles)
Drive from Porto to Sabrosa, riding on the Douro Valley roads and the famous N222, awarded as the 2015 world's best road. The whole road is asphalted and includes heart-stopping 93 bends. It’s said to be the 2015 world's best road.
N-222 cuts right through the heart of the Douro Valley, offering amazing views of the terraced hillsides. This day you will also visit two view points here you will understand why the Douro Valley has one of thee UNESCO World Heritage.
Day 2: Drive from Sabrosa to Guimarães (150 kilometers / 93 miles)
Drive from Sabrosa to Guimarães (the birth place of Portugal), going on the famous N304, elected by Ford as the best driving road in Europe.
Ride and explore the Alvão National Park, visit “Fisgas de Ermelo” and the view point “Senhora da Graça”. You will also have time to explore the Guimarães a charming and historic city.
Day 3: Guimarães to Oporto (100 kilometers / 62 miles)
Time to head back to Oporto, riding thru the Atlantic Coast.

João started to ride motorcycles in his youth age and from his mid-twenties he selected the motorcycle as the main travel mode to discover other countries.João lived in Africa for 10 years and during that time traveled on a motorcycle around many of the sub-Saharan countries. At the age of 38,João decided to start a lifetime journey, traveling from Cape Town to Cairo, on a solo 6 months trip. After, he traveled around South-Asia on a motorcycle for a year. From then he has been organizing motorcycle tours to many different destinations and would like to share with you a vacation of a lifetime!

Your motorcycle tour will start and end in Oporto, Portugal. This trip will give you the opportunity to explore the north area of Portugal, with focus on the Douro Valley and the historic city Guimarães, the birth place of Portugal.
