The accommodation itself is of the highest quality, warm, cozy, and relaxed, which helps to shape Northern Bootcamp's programs and make campers feel at ease. Any images of boot camp dormitories and plastic mattresses can be banished immediately: this boot camp venue is five-star!

The camp base includes, a stretching room, chill out room, boot room, utility room with washing machine and dryer, access to a functional indoor gym, access to a health spa with swimming pool (where you can also have beauty treatments and massages), a fantastic outdoor training area, and archery range all onsite.

There are a variety of sleeping arrangements to choose from, to ensure that the camp meets your needs and budget. From private en-suite rooms, to a shared twin or four-bed room, they have the flexibility to cater for all needs.

Northern Bootcamp's weight-loss holidays are completely unique experiences, with their trainers dedicated to you as an individual and on a mission to ensure that you succeed in making the sustainable changes to your body and lifestyle.

In a fantastic setting on the Northumberland coast, Northern Bootcamp have a huge variety of exercise and activity sessions included in the program. Operating a "challenge by choice" policy, you will be supported and encouraged throughout the camp in every single session, but never forced or pushed beyond your capabilities.

The standard of training is second to none, with Dan and Caroline, the directors of the company, leading many sessions and spending time to get to know you as an individual. The style is non-military, but this does not mean easy: while the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, the training sessions are designed to help you to work hard and push your limits.

Using the latest evidence-based training techniques and a unique style that comes only with experience and personality, the trainers will encourage and motivate you to reach your potential and achieve the most profound results possible. If you do everything as advised on camp, you can expect to loses inches and pounds.

The two-week boot camp should not be taken lightly. You must have a base level of fitness to attend, with no joint or back problems, and you must be injury-free.

While you will work at your own level, two weeks is an endurance event, and Northern Bootcamp need to make sure that your body and mind are up to the challenge. They will give you tons of personal support and adapt the program for you, to ensure that you get plenty of relaxation time and a full day recovery mid-camp.

Northern Bootcamp believes that there is more to exercise than blood, sweat, and tears. It should be enjoyable, and that is why their weight-loss and fitness boot camps are set in one of the UK’s most stunning environments, on the Northumberland coast. The venue has been carefully chosen to be away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but easily accessible from all areas of the country.

The camp is a stone’s throw away from Bamburgh Beach, voted the UK’s second-best view! You will soon see why, when you watch the sun rise as you walk, jog or run on the beach on a beautiful, crisp morning.

The location of the accommodation and their very own camp base is perfect in every way. There is only a short distance to the hills of the Cheviots, the beach, and the quiet country roads of Northumberland.

Food

The camp menu is designed and delivered with such love and passion, it is not surprising that 98% of campers rate the quality of the food as excellent. All main ingredients are locally sourced from the butchers, grocers, and fish mongers, and as fresh as they can be, often home-grown and more importantly, cooked perfectly.

You will be served three meals and two snacks per day during this camp. The portion size is controlled, and the menu is set and aligned to the exercise sessions that you will take part in each day.

You can rest assured that you will not be starved and that you will get enough energy to ensure you can participate fully in each session. Northern Bootcamp also believe that your experience on camp should be enjoyable and that includes the meals that you eat.

Northern Bootcamp will make sure the portion sizes are sufficient to be sustainable back in the real world, and you can take away ideas and recipes to help you start cooking. How to get there

Recommended Airports

Driving directions from north or south on the A1

  • Leave at the junction of Purdy Lodge Services - heading towards the coast (turn right from the south and left from the north). The road is the B1341 (Lucker Road).
  • Stay on this road until you go over the train line (level crossing), after this, the boot camp is approximately half a mile on your left. There is a fence with signs outside and iron gates. The nearest postcode is NE70 7JS - Golden Hill is 100 meters beyond this.

Please follow the directions and not the postcode as this does not take you to the venue. Please park away from the main entrance alongside the field.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at either Newcastle Airport (NCL) or Edinburgh Airport (EDI).

Arrival by train

Train station collections are at 6.40 p.m. from Berwick Upon Tweed. There is a 5 GBP each way charge for this collection, made payable on camp. If your train is delayed and you expect to arrive late, please inform the camp immediately. Please note if you are more than 10 minutes late, you will need to make your own way to the venue. Local taxi info will be sent with final information and contact numbers.

The camps officially end on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and there will be train drops at 10:45 p.m.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 16.94% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 28 days before arrival.
