The Rockwell Lake Lodge is a log-cabin style lodge providing a beautiful setting and first-class accommodations. Arrive to a large great room with comfortable furniture and a large fireplace, large deck, and lake view dining all surrounded by miles of trails to appreciate the 600 acres of pristine forest and lakes. Each gorgeous spacious suite has a seating area, private balcony, kitchenette, and either two full beds or one king bed. Both double occupancy and single occupancy options for lodging available.

The entire retreat center has been reserved for Northern Michigan Retreat group retreat to assure privacy and quiet. This is an intimate facility with just 10 available rooms. Registration will be open until all the rooms are booked, so please reserve your spot early to assure availability.

Itinerary

Saturday, March 28th, 2020

Arrival is anytime between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. You will be greeted with a warm welcome, given a brief tour, and shown your room. Enjoy some time outside, relax by the fire, sit by the lake with a book, or whatever calls to you. Room check-in is guaranteed by 3 p.m., however, some rooms may be available early.

Your first workshop starts at 3.30 p.m. and ends at 4.30 p.m. In the workshop, you will be renewing your sense of enthusiasm in healthcare. Essential and effective self-care skills to help you avoid burnout and compassion fatigue while building resilience, energy, and balance. Free time will follow from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

At 6 p.m., you will have a wine reception and a farm-to-table dinner. Enjoy some social time with like-minded individuals enjoying wine in the great hall in front of the fire or out on the deck overlooking the lake. At 7:30 p.m., you will have a guided relaxation meditation session. This is a mindfulness practice that continues to reveal the powerful effects that connection and embodiment have on the brain, the immune system, and overall well-being.

As you slow down and draw forth conscious relaxation, you shift your internal chemistry, deactivate the stress response, and increase your ability to become aware and feel our body in the present moment. This evening, a guided yoga Nidra session will be offered - a meditation and conscious relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. Sunday, March 29th, 2020

At 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m., you will have a tension relieving yoga - all levels are welcome to this morning yoga session. Learn gentle stretches that you can do at home or in the office to release tension in the neck and shoulders, strengthen the core and low back, and release tightness in the hips. It benefits is from improved physical, emotional, and mental health.

At 8.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. you'll have a full hot breakfast. After your breakfast, you'll have your second workshop - a continuation of your first workshop where you will be renewing your sense of enthusiasm in healthcare. Learn essential and effective self-care skills to help you avoid burnout and compassion fatigue while building resilience, energy, and balance.

Check out starts at 11 a.m. To enjoy even more time at the healing the healer retreat, feel free to extend your stay by adding a Friday or Sunday night stay for only an additional 130 USD per night.

Dining at the Rockwell Lake Lodge is an experience to remember. Enjoy gourmet meals, prepared with locally sourced ingredients whenever feasible and attention to detail. Take in the spectacular view of Rockwell Lake and the surrounding woods from the large windows in the dining rooms as you savor every bite. Dinner on Saturday night will be served buffet style with plenty of delicious options to chose from. A full hot breakfast is served Sunday morning. Every suite is equipped with a kitchenette as well.

Please book your flight to arrive at Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR). Airport transfer is not included. Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) is approximately a 1.5 hours drive. Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 100% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 30 days before the arrival date.
