"Lovely retreat at the beach"

My wife & I came for a 5 days retreat with yoga class in the mornings followed by Ayurvedic tratments every day. The staff was so nice & service minded. And the food was excellent.

"Lovely setting."

Vinduja’s massage treatments and Sirodara were fabulous. Shibu was very friendly and helpful and my yoga teacher was very good.

The location by the sea was lovely and I saw dolphins when doing yoga!

It was a shame not to have the option of sunset yoga, it was just 1 class at 7.30 am which is a struggle when jet lagged!

I booked a 4 day 3 night retreat but my flight was delayed so arrived at 9.30pm on day 1 then I had to check out by 11am on day 4 but I was told it was still the same price so it made the break quite expensive. I did manage yoga before I left and I did have 2 massages on day 3.

"Calm but old"

The vibe is really cute and calm with the palm trees and the sea directly in front of you. We could even spot several dolphins when looking at the sea. The food was good and healthy. Yoga and massage were ok.

"Excellent place to chill out and relax"

A beautiful place where you can totally relax. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were very attentive and friendly to all our needs. Guatham and Dorota, the owners, made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the garden rooms for a few days, which were quiet and cool, we then had a sea view room for the rest of our stay. We watched dolphins swim by and enjoyed swimming in the sea or pool everyday. I had the package for ayurvedic food and massage. Lakshit, the personal trainer, checked in with me everyday and made sure the yoga, massage and diet all complimented each other, including a visit from the aruyvedic doctor. My husband was writing a book and he felt the environment was perfect for him to be creative. I started the day with Hatha yoga by an experienced yoga instructor, Noushad. Each morning we took a walk through the local village and to the fishing harbour, where we could watch the fishermen at work. We hired bicycles, took a trip in a Tuk Tuk to the local fesitival with elephants. Jeevarat, one of the managers, drove us to our next destination, and organised a boat trip on the back waters, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food is fresh everyday and Karan and his staff in the restaurant were lovely people, as were many of the guests that we met. We would highly recommend a stay at 36 Palms and will hope to visit again sometime.

"Amazing place, exceptional yoga. "

I stayed at 36 Palms retreat back in September and really enjoyed my time there. Not only was the location amazing (right by the sea so you can hear the waves at night....very peaceful) but I had some of the best yoga classes I've experienced recently. I do a lot of yoga back home in London and Spain but I have to say, Akhilash was an incredible teacher and his classes were great and made a refreshing change. He was so calm and knowledgeable and made the classes fun too. I was lucky enough to be there during a quiet period so had 1-1 teaching, a huge privilege as I'm sure the classes are usually a lot bigger. During the stay, I also had a Reiki treatment with Akhilash which I can thoroughly recommend, along with other Ayurvedic treatments available with other practitioners (massages etc.). Unfortunately, I was only there for 2 nights as I was moving on to meet friends elsewhere in Kerala. Made sure to cram in as much as possible but I will definitely be going back soon and staying longer this time. Thank you!! Elizabeth :)

"a little paradise . . "

36 palms is just the most beautiful resort, the traditional decor really gives you a feel of real India, a stone throw from the sea. As a single traveller I felt so welcomed and looked after by the wonderful staff who really invited me and made me feel like family. It’s the most relaxing environment, quiet and peaceful, it really is a little piece of paradise. Briji is a wonderful yoga instructor. Thank you 36 palms, I look forward to my return.

"An intimate local experience"

The 36 Palms is a very cozy hotel, right on the sea. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, all the staff is super friendly, nice and helpful. Food at the restaurant is good and healthy. The atmosphere you breathe there is of a place intimate and relaxing, where to feel at home. The yoga classes were tailored on our level and during the week we varied and progressed in the complexity of the practice. The Ayurvedic treatments were of an average/good level. The surroundings are very interesting and worth to explore.

"Paradise in Cherai Beach "

It was a fantastic experience, everything worked for the overal satisfaction: beautiful hotel with family atmosphere created by exeptional owners Dorota nad Gutam, outstanding location on the beach, a dolphin visitng this area every morning, attentive staff members. Yoga classes were also experience to remember. Briji includes all aspects of yoga into each class, adding his personal a sence of humour and willingness to show local attractions togehter with charming wife Harita.

"DO NOT GO HERE!"

We liked VERY little about this retreat. Karan, the restaurant waiter was kind, punctual and professional. The tour driver who took us to the city for the day was great, he was knowledgeable and friendly, made us forget about the retreat!

"Slice of heaven, truly spectacular stay"

The food, the ocean views, the infinity pool, the room, yoga classes and massages, the 36 Palms hosts - honestly cannot decide between them. Okay, fine, the FOOD! We traveled all over southwestern India and this was the best food by FAR! MUST try the polichattu - local delight that is out of this world. The entire experience cannot be compared to anything else. We are so thankful to 36 Palms for this truly relaxing, rejuvenating and unbelievably memorable stay.

"36 Palms for Rest and Rejuvenation "

We are a couple from the Bay Area/California and took a much needed break to Kerala with the intent to break away from work with Yoga, Ayurvedic Massage and Vegetarian food. This place is awesome with great hosts in Dori & Gautam, it was like home away from home - listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the resort property walls. Very good R&R for us after many years - quiet, great Yoga and massage facilities!!
