I liked the simple and very well organised Hotel. Everybody was really nice and helpful when I had questions.The way they come up to you to clear for your Horse riding adventure the next day was top. The Horses are beautiful and very well trained. I like the respectful way the horses are treated, they also have beautiful ground to live.
Dinner was always nice and tasty.

"German chaos but lovely horses "
The horses were very well looked after by some volunteers. It is an amazing location but hard to get to unless you drive. The hotel was probably in its glory in the 80’s and very stylish ! The food was great and the Italian staff at the hotel were superb. Saving graces are the young staff at the stables and the new stable manager was eager to better our experience.

"Fabulous Experience "
The location is brilliant, provided you are willing and happy to drive for a while to get there, it is definitely worth it! Nestled in the mountain with fantastic views. The horses are amazing, well cared for and bomb proof. The ride is fantastic, through lush forests and fabulous views. We went past the geo-thermal plant which was a great experience and lovely to learn more about it.

"Wonderful "
Beautiful location, friendly people, delicious food, gorgeous horses, varied rides through sweet chestnut woods, pine forests, olive groves, lavender fields, villages and rivers.
Peaceful, relaxing by the pool. Watched the sun rise and set from my balcony. Vegetable patch growing tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and more.
Found the tennis court when exploring the garden.

"A Tuscan countryside dream!"
This hotel was amazing! The location was exactly what I needed, for a calm and peaceful stay. All staff were so friendly and helpful, and the village is gorgeous. The bike shop is a short walk from the hotel, in the village, and the staff there were also friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Beautiful trails to ride on, and the roads are also safe to ride on.

"Perfect Break in remote region of Tuscany !"
Everyone at the Hotel was very friendly. Its a great place for nice break in midst of Nature away from the busy city life. Its a very nice atmosphere at the hotel. Montieri is located in the midst of Nature surrounded by mountains. Its a good place to hike or go for a mountain bike ride in addition to the Horse Riding. It is very practical if you have your own car giving you a choice to visit nearby towns too. Follonica is well connected by train and Follonica to the hotel transfer is arranged by Caja and Team on request.

"Great location"
Location is great, being at 750 mt guarantees cooler evening and the pool is a plus. Dogs are well accepted and there are a lot of trails to walk or bike directly from the hotel. Horse back riding trails easy and mostly in the shadow, which was fine in this scorching hot August. Great selection of home made cakes for breakfast. Strategic location to visit Tuscan Maremma region.

"Horse riding course July 22"
My stay was perfect from beginning to end. Room was spotless, and that's coming from a self-professed germophobe! Most importantly horse riding guides/instructors are all kind and genuine people passionate about horses and teaching. I will miss great memories I made here. The hosts are a beautiful family, were very welcoming and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I would 100% recommend and wish I could have stayed for longer.

"Super Holiday"
Caja and the gang were very welcoming and responsive to all of our requests. The horses were all very nice with excellent temperaments. The scenery was beautiful, and the option to relax by the pool with a cold drink and have a swim after riding was very much welcomed by our group. The bedrooms had great character and were comfortable. As for the food, it was simple and delicious and the restaurant/ bar staff accommodated all our demands with a smile. Our group would highly recommend a visit.

"Great experience"
I liked the experience so much that I stayed longer than originally planned and did 4 different day tours. The scenery of Tuscany is breathtaking. The horses were all well behaved and safe so I could just relax and enjoy the view. Caja and her team take care of the horses very well. For the day tours, we had real picnics with hot meals and drinks. The food for the picnics and the dinners was always so good. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the hotel facilities were very clean and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this trip.

All staff were very helpful and obviously took real pride in the hotel and holiday experience of the guests. All requests were met by the team. We found it a very friendly and welcoming place to stay. All the family wanted to stay another day. "Fantastic short trip"
I had my doubts going there during corona time but i was impressed with the service quality and the lovely people there. All the staff were pleasant and were keen to make sure your day was planned with things to do.
I left early into my trip as i had experienced it all and because the weather wasn't too great it mean i couldn't explore more of the surrounding area. It also didn't help that i did not have a car which would have been useful.
Will definitely visit again in the summer period and catch up with all the lovely people there!

"Most enjoyable"
Horses very much loved and cared for. Good tack,nice to have selection of hard hats and chaps,especially when you travel from overseas.
The trails were all a delight, changed on rides,so added a lot of different views.
Just the place to unwind among the mountains, trees,fresh cool air.
Would certainly recommend this lovely place.
I am a senior fit lady of 78 from New Zealand,and enjoyed a great selection of mounts,especially the Spanish mare ,and the very tall thoroughbred .
The rides were around 2 and a half to 3 hours,good value.

"It is like staying with an extended Italian family"
The people there are lovely. Employees and owners work as a team like family that I enjoyed the relationship they shared. The plus point for choosing this hotel & horseback riding is the nearby (walking distance) Montieri town (UNESCO) that is worth exploring, and I was there at the right timing for the horse show that’s in the next town where we rode there on horseback.

The horses are well loved and cared for. I had my first trek organised by Yasmin who clearly adores the horses.
I came back to riding after some years off so I was a little nervous but I was reassured by all the team and treks tailored to suit the individuals on the day.

Scenery was perfect. Horses were in good condition and well cared for. Had a great horse one day which made the ride short, but worth wild. Room was fine - desirable with cold water in the bathroom or a fridge or at least a shared fridge in the hall.

"A wonderful 5 days spent with great people and horses!!"
The hotel is just beautiful, all of the staff are friendly and kind and do anything to help their guests. It felt more like staying in a friend's home than staying in a hotel. The stables are spotless and the horses are so well looked after. Caja is a great manager and guide and great fun to be with, as are all of the staff who work in the stables and the hotel. We had great fun at the picnics, I met lots of people from different countries and made lots of new friends. This holiday was excellent value for money. The meals are home cooked, traditional Italian food, very delicious. I didn't use the swimming pool but it looked very inviting and very clean. The gardens and surrounding grounds are well tended and so peaceful to sunbathe in or to sit and read a book. I was so relaxed!! This hotel really is a home from home. I highly recommend.

"Perfect! "
The horses are beautiful- looked after with real love and knowledge, each of the horses is beautiful! The girls know the horses inside out and are able to tell you all about each ones different personality and riding style. The trails are gorgeous and there is the opportunity to do so much you can always be on the go!
The hotel itself is great - lovely pool and the rooms are comfy. The food is great and the staff are so friendly! Would highly recommend.

"Everything I expected and more"
We were blown away by the views, we loved the rustic Tuscan feel to the hotel. On arrival staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. After travelling all day we were keen to chill out and have our evening meal, unfortunately due to circumstances this part wasn’t a great experience (nothing to do with the food), however this was dealt with positively once we had made the hotel aware and were very apologetic. The food appears to be all home cooked and was very good. I chose this particular venue as the horses looked well cared for and this was even more evident when we arrived and went riding. They catered well for two of my friends who had never ridden before and they found the tuition excellent and were very reassured by Caja’s patience, they thoroughly enjoyed their lesson along with their ride out, it was a great first experience for them as they were well matched with their horses. Myself and another friend have plenty experience riding, the horses we were provided were well behaved and we had a lovely trek out on the first day, although I would have liked to have gone with a group more at our level as we had a few experienced riders and one or two not so experienced and would have liked a slightly more challenging ride. For me the pace was a bit too slow but I loved it anyway and had a lovely day. Overall we had an amazing time, thank you to Simone who also made our stay great. I fell in love with this place and will be definitely going back.💕🐎💕

This trip exceeded all my expectations. The place in the mountains is gorgeous, the hotel is clean and cozy, the staff is very friendly and responds immediately to your needs. Guests, staff, and instructors were like a family. Horses are perfectly trained, reliable and simply amazing! Staff very friendly and attentive, true kindness runs,through this hotel,and horses are part of the family, in this part of beautiful Italy it would difficult to return home,as I wanted to stay,hotel transfer from follonica was prompt and on time( I was dropped to the train station on my return trip at 6 am and was met on time with a True gentleman) horses are so aware of their environment, total trust is easily given,trust them!!! "Magical place"
