"Could not be bettered!"

Everything, Lovely hospitable couple. Marina bent over backwards to make our stay outstanding. Comfy, clean rooms, beautiful surroundings, excellent food, great wines and learned a lot from Gianluca.

Many thanks from Sharon, Carole and Dominique.

"Relaxing holiday in a wonderful location with lovely hosts"

Marina was a wonderful host and the cooking lessons with Gianluca were not only informative but also fun. The premises were beautiful and relaxing. Marina and Gianluca went out of their way to accommodate our needs and and side tours were very enjoyable.

"Idyllic!"

We got a glimpse of everyday Italian living. Of honest, real people with a shared love of the simple things in life. Sunset at a table outside, with good food and wine and conversation!

"A weekend in Umbria"

My daughter and I enjoyed absolutely everything about this experience which wildly exceeded our expectations. We arrived late and were warmly welcomed. We were shown to our clean room in a big eclectic farmhouse where interesting antique artefacts charm the eye. Although we were late we were given a delicious three course supper in a magnificent dining room which was full of other guests happily enjoying and sharing the experience. In the morning the splendour of the grounds and the surrounding countryside became obvious. Marina was a terrific hostess- organised and helpful (she speaks impeccable English) but she also arranged our days so that we had time to relax and to spend time on our own reading and sunbathing. We were taken to the local winery where we had leisurely lunch of ham and cheese and bruschetta and tasted several of the wines. The cooking lesson in the evening was a highlight. Jean Luca was a terrific teacher. We made fresh pasta ravioli, sea bass and tiramisu for our supper that evening. On our last day (of 3) we explored the local countryside and had lunch in an exceptionally good local restaurant. We returned to Rome via Orveta which was breathtakingly beautiful. The cathedral is worth a visit to Umbria in its own right.

Breakfast was delicious and the evening meals exceptional. We were offered as much delicious local wine as we wished. All this was included in the price.

We will definitely go back.

The food was simply excellent and the wine tour out did my expectations. I had a super time swimming in the fabulous pool and cooking with others who quickly became new friends ! All in all it is a very special place so peaceful I highly recommend ! Now I can make pasta from scratch but real Italian ravioli !!! Thanks to the in-house chef !!

"Gorgeous place to relax with perfect hosts"

Marina went out of her way to make everything relaxing and easy. Even lending us a map of Rome and giving us lifts to the local station. Great location with beautiful views and easy to get to Rome or Florence on the train. The cooking was fun, very low key which suited us. And delicious. A great break for us.

"Tranquility & Amazing Food - A place to rest your soul"

The sourrounding area allows for great views. Marina, the host, was very attentive and helpful making sure you feel at home and had everything you needed. As I was the only person this time she did the bike tour with me and we had dinner together over a glass of wine and some nice conversations. The room was clean and it was quite. Taking a dip in the pool on a hot and sunny day is wonderful as well. Additionally I was picked up and dropped of at the local train station which was key for me to take part in the tour, as I was not travelling by car myself. During the cooking a learned how to prepare different dishes from starters, over pasta, a main dish to desert.

From the very first email contact on, Marina was very accommodating and honest. I fully trusted her and was right to do so. Thank you!

Marina and Gianluca were wonderful. Marina especially went out of her way to accommodate me and made me feel very welcomed and at home. I wanted a very relaxing week in the sunshine and fresh air with excellent food and wine and that is exactly what I got. The food was very fresh and simple and an excellent variety too. Thank you very much for a superb holiday. I hope to return again soon. Best wishes, Georgina x
