After over 20 years in investment banking and corporate management at JPMorgan and Merrill Lynch in London, being head of BPI's M&A team and CFO of a listed group, Rui decided to commit to his lifelong passion: help people develop their "superpowers" towards a life with more energy, health, and purpose. He started yoga and meditation in 2012 when he felt close to a burnout. A passionate practitioner of cross fit, cycling, kitesurf, nature trail running, and skiing, he believes in an integrated approach to wellbeing: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
Ana moved to London in 2009 to study contemporary dance at the Trinity Laban Conservatory. Her first real encounter with yoga was when she suffered a knee injury and yoga was key to her recovery. Having found the benefits of yoga - strength, flexibility, focus, and ability to deal with uncertainty - Ana decided to continue this path as a teacher. She trained with renowned teachers such as Alaric Newcombe (Iyengar), Marcus Veda (four-beat Vinyasa), Dulce Aguilar (Mandala yoga), and Carrie Owerko (Iyengar and embodiment).
Ariane is a ballerina, who graduated in Physical Education (2002) and Post Graduated in Dance (2005). She has extensive experience in Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary Ballet. Dance and stretching teacher for over 20 years. She also has experience with Capoeira and Biogymnastic. Training in Vinyasa Flow, Hatha yoga, and Aerial yoga. She has been teaching yoga classes and Breathing Workshops for over a decade.
From organizational engineering to interior engineering, Luis Guilherme found in yoga a way of life. The basis of continuous improvement triggered knowledge that was more than incremental - it was transformative. Yoga makes you feel good and this is the energy emanating from a body-mind symbiosis in Luis Guilherme's Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga, and meditation classes. He believes that a healthy body, a balanced mind, and a present awareness bring wider perception of reality, and that yoga is for everyone but its discovery is individual.
Trained in yoga, Aerial yoga, Yin yoga and Pilates, currently completing a course in Physiotherapy. From the first yoga class she took, she knew she wanted to have that feeling forever! The connection with breathing, the lightness of working the body with postures, and the simple "stop", transformed her way of seeing life. Therefore, she consider the practice of yoga a time to "look inside" and connect with the present moment, and her intention is that more and more students feel, within their experiences, the benefits of the practice in their daily lives!
In 2015, Mariana had her first contact with the practice of yoga and it was as if she had found a part of her she didn't know existed. She trained as a yoga teacher and yoga became her home, dedicating herself 100% to her practice and her students. She loves to challenge them and show them that anything is possible, that they can always go further, they just need to believe in themselves. She also did the Restorative yoga training with Satya Luz Yoga and the Yoga Kids course with Sunshine Yoga School.
With a path in the field of Nutrition, Rita started practicing yoga very early, but it was only when she tried Aerial yoga that Rita decided to venture into professional training. This passion brought her the happiness of working and doing what she loves the most! Her classes fuse yoga, aerial, and Pilates to deepen the body-mind connection, developing self-awareness and encouraging overall well-being, on and off the mat. Rita's motto: it's never too late!
Sandra began regular yoga practices at 15, with her mother and grandmother. She joined the four-year yoga instructors' course at Centro de Yoga do Porto at the age of 17. She also graduated in Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture, through the National Association of Acupuncture under the guidance of Prof. Bal Krishna. She currently guides classes in different areas within yoga, acupuncture sessions, and Tui Na massage therapy and essential oils.
