Ilona Hefty
Over 35 years of teaching jazz dance, yoga, and Pilates, and owner of a Pilates Studio in Zug / Switzerland, in addition to being a second generation Pilates Master, Ilona Hefty is certified by Lolita San Miguel, a Pilates Elder who is one of the only two people certified by Joseph Pilates. Also a teacher trainer for Peak Pilates USA, Ilona has taught many other people to become fully comprehensive Pilates instructors. Over the years Ilona has trained with many excellent experienced teachers including Clare Dunphi, Kati Ross Nash, Pamela Garcia, Brett Howard, and many more.

This program will take place in the district of Quesada in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica.
About the Venue
This oasis is embedded in the large "Finca FE" near the town of Quesada in the province of Alajuela. It is located almost at the end of the village of San Ramon on a hill with a magnificent view over the whole valley up to the Arenal Volcano.
The province of Alajuela is located in the middle of Costa Rica, about 45 minutes from La Fortuna. The place is an ideal stopover on the journey through this magical country.
On the large private grounds, there are many opportunities for walks, picnics, jogging, or meditation in beautiful places in nature.
You can easily reach the oasis from the arrival airport of San Jose on well-maintained roads in 2.5 hours. You will find yourself in beautiful nature with palms, trees, ponds, flowers, and native animals. Far away from the tourist hustle and bustle, yet close enough to immerse yourself in nature in between.
About the Location
Near the "Pandanus", in the middle of the jungle, there are wonderful, unknown thermal springs. In which you do not have to give up culinary delights. There are waterfalls, coffee, strawberry, or cacao plantations to visit or great hikes in nature.
The nearby river, which can be reached on foot in 20 to 30 minutes, invites you for a refreshing swim in the lonely and idyllic nature.
Horse lovers can book horse rides nearby, adventurous people make great quat tours. (More information and prices are in the info folder in the bungalow). They will show you where you can marvel at free-living iguanas or support rescue centers for wild animals in Costa Rica.
The city of La Fortuna is only 37 kilometers / 22 miles away and offers many possibilities for shopping, strolling, good restaurants, nightlife, and many tourist attractions.

Transfer included
You can drive to the finca with a normal car, as the road is paved up to the gate. On the grounds, however, the gravel road is easily passable even without a 4x4. This retreat is located there in Lot 5.
There is a bus connection from Cuidad Quesada 3 times a day to the doorstep, terminating at San Ramon School. There is the entrance to the Finca FE. The retreat centre "Pandanus" Oasis is located on the finca.
