Program

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu

Airport transfer and check into the hotel. Later in the evening, you will have a welcome dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant to get to know one another, have the first of many culinary masterpieces and be entertained with a cultural show. Overnight at Hotel Tibet in Kathmandu on twin sharing with breakfast and dinner.

Day 2: Ride from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park (approximately 185 kilometers / 114 miles / 5 hours)

This morning, take your motorcycle ride to Chitwan, which is at a distance of 185 kilometres (114 miles). Travel through the Tribhuvan Highway from Kathmandu to Naubise to the west. The drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan takes you through the scenic roads.

The wilderness of nature and its beauty can be enjoyed well throughout your drive. After reaching Chitwan, rest of the day is for you to relax or optional do some jungle activities. Overnight at hotel / resort in Chitwan on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 3: Ride from Chitwan to Tansen Palpa (156 kilometers / 97 miles / 6 - 7 hours)

  • Altitude: 1343 meters / 4406 miles

Parikrama Treks and Expeditions encourage people to rise early to see a once in a lifetime sunrise before breakfast. You will follow the East Rapti River west towards Chitwan National Park and check in to your hotel at Tansen Palpa where you can observe century old temple and historic temples, old palaces, and have lunch. Overnight at Hotel Srinagar in Palpa on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 4: Ride from Tansen Palpa to Pokhara (approximately 129 kilometers / 80 miles / 5 hours ride)

The most challenging section of the ride is finally here. Today the ride hits Siddhartha Highway, which is defamed for its extremely serpentine feature. Careful riding is essential. Ride pass highway towns and get amazed with the sheer cliffs throughout the journey.

As you approach closer to Pokhara, the Himalayan peaks dominated by Annapurna and unique Fishtail come into the loop of your eyes. On arriving Pokhara, straight away ride to your hotel in Lakeside.

Stroll around lakeside, the tourist zone in Pokhara. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 5: Going gets rough - ride from Pokhara to Kalopani (approximately 125 kilometers / 78 miles / 5 hours)

You are advised to pack lightly, taking only what is necessary until you return. Starting out on tarmac, and an opportunity to walk on one of Nepal’s famous suspension bridges. There is a continuous change in the topography with every twist and turn until your arrival at Kalopani. Overnight at hotel / guest house in Kalopani on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 6: Ride from Mustang Valley to Muktinath (approximately 60 kilometers / 37 miles / 4 to 5 hours)

Muktinath is the highest elevation you will reach and while you might be short of breath walking around the village exploring, it is unlikely you will suffer from altitude sickness. Muktinath is part of the Annapurna Circuit, and you’ll encounter many trekkers from across the globe here. Overnight at hotel / guest house in Muktinath on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 7: Hot springs - ride from Muktinath to Tatopani (approximately 80 kilometers / 50 miles / 4 to 6 hours)

Heading back down, you will stop in Kagbeni for a short visit to the local monastery where many yogi’s come to isolate themselves in the caves overlooking the village to practice their meditation and rituals.

You'll then continue on to Tatopani to soak in the hot springs. “Tato” meaning ‘hot’ and “Pani” meaning ‘water’, it’s obvious to see how this town was named. Overnight at hotel / guest house in Tatopani on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 8: Deepest gorge - ride from Tatopani to Pokhara (approximately 105 kilometers / 65 miles / 3 ½ hours)

Although you have ridden this road a couple of days earlier, you’re going to see the gorges from a totally different perspective. It’ll give you a chance to really soak up what you might have missed the first time or to stop and take that Pulitzer prize winning photo. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara on twin sharing with full board basis (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

Day 9: Free day or optional city tour of Pokhara

Early morning drive to Sarangkot Sunrise and Mountain View Point. Drive back and have a breakfast. After breakfast, drive for sightseeing Davis Falls, old market places and Tibetan Refugee camp. In the evening, enjoy boating in Phewa Lake and visit Tal Barahi Temple (situated in the middle of the Phewa Lake). Overnight at hotel in Pokhara on twin sharing on half board basis (breakfast and dinner).

Day 10: Let's get dusty - ride from Pokhara to Nuwakot (approximately 185 kilometers / 115 miles / 6 hours)

You will head east alongside the Trishuli River as it detours from the highway all the way to Nuwakot. You’ll have the chance to visit the Nuwakot Palace once you arrive at your very special accommodation. A short walk to see the seven-storey ancient fort palace. Overnight at hotel in Nuwakot on twin sharing with half board basis (breakfast and dinner).

Day 11: Back to Kathmandu - ride to Nuwakot to Kathmandu (approximately 70 kilometers / 43 miles / 3 ½ hours).

After breakfast, famous farm to Kathmandu via Shivpuri Forest Reserve. Check into overnight at hotel in Kathmandu on twin sharing with breakfast and dinner. Evening is free.

Day 12: Homeward bound

Breakfast in the morning and then have free tile until departure. Check out time is at 12:00 p.m. You will be taken to the airport for final departure.

Bike rental bike

There is no bike rental deposit required for this tour. Bikes are only third party insured. For any physical damage to the bikes due to negligence the repair charge will be charged to the rider. Parikrama Treks and Expeditions carry all wear and tear parts and a couple of extra wheels ready to be fitted in case of a flat tyre.

Location

This off-road tour has a lot to offer as one will get the chance to reach up to 3800 meters above sea level. The crossing of the suspension bridge adds more thrill to this Nepal adventure ride. While crossing wind will make the bridge wobble taking it to the extreme.

Similarly, you will also ride along with the world's deepest George “Kali Gandaki George". You will also spend an overnight at Tatopani (hot spring) and shall enjoy soaking in a natural hot spring on the banks of the Kali Gandaki river.

One visit is not enough as you are still left to experience the Upper Mustang Motorbike tour. This upper valley is the Forbidden Kingdom and needs special permits. It is different than the Lower Mustang motorcycle tour. Add this to your wish list for next time in Nepal and many more.
