Classical Pilates with a fascial approach. Find unrestricted, childlike movement. Let go of held tension. Learn how load and force can be distributed through your own bio-tensegrity freeing the body to move with less effort. This is a private Pilates session primarily on the mat. You can use the equipment if you have your own or have access to equipment.
The sessions may be held from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, private Pilates sessions are all about you so you can schedule at your convenience and they are able to customize the work to your individual needs and goals.
There are five virtual private sessions, 55 minutes each, via Zoom video conferencing. You can use the equipment if you have your own. Once you are signed up, Performance Pilates will email you a link to join the meeting. Click the link and select join using video. Please join the meeting 10 minutes prior to your session.
Cody co-owns Performance Pilates in Sugar Land, Texas. She and Michelle became friends during their Pilates certification course in 2004 and formed a business partnership in 2010. Cody completed 'Bridge to CPM' certification through the Center for Spatial Medicine with Karin Locher in 2017. Previous certifications include PEAK Pilates Comprehensiver, DMI: Masters in Pilates Teaching, Buff Bones, and Rossiter® System for Pain Relief. Cody has participated in equestrian sports since childhood and continues to ride thanks to the wonderful benefits of Pilates.
Michelle co-owns Performance Pilates in Sugar Land, Texas. Michelle founded Performance Pilates in 2004. In 2010, she and Cody Robbins went into business together. Recently they have both become certified through the Center for Spatial Medicine with Karin Locher. Previous certifications include PEAK Pilates Professional, Discover Move Inspire: Masters in Pilates Teaching, Buff Bones, and Rossiter® System for Pain Relief. Michelle has a background in competitive swimming and has helped swimmers improve their athletic performance through Pilates.
A hands-on technique to release tension in the fascia, restoring movement and function. A great warm-up to open and center the body before movement. Your session may include manual myofascial release and moving connections to create awareness, removing the tensional hand-break on your body in motion.
