Day 1: Leh arrival
Assistance on arrival at Leh airport and transfer to hotel. The day is free to relax and for acclimatization.
Day 2: Leh, Alchi, Fotu La, to Lamayuru (130 kilometers / 80 miles)
The morning to get to know your motorcycles and take them for a ride. Today, you ride on the highway road to Lamayuru. En-route, you will visit the ancient monastery at Alchi. The road takes over one small pass (4,108 meters), small by Himalayas standards. The evening is free for leisure in Lamayuru.
Day 3: Lamayuru to Leh (114 kilometers / 70 miles)
After breakfast, start the ride back to Leh. Reach Leh by midday and visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Market. The evening is free for leisure in Leh.
Day 4: Leh to Pangong (155 kilometers / 96 miles)
You'll have a morning drive to Pangong Lake. The route takes you over Chang La Pass (5,360 meters) to reach the massive Pangong Lake, which is like a small sea in the Himalayas. Pangong, at 4,225 meters, is a salt water lake and over 140 kilometers long. You'll stay overnight at the Cottages.
Day 5: Pangong to Nubra (171 kilometers / 106 miles)
The drive from Pangong to Nubra Valley snakes along the river Skyok for most of the journey. The altitude drops from 4,225 meters to 3,000 meters. The road today has vast flat plains, winding roads along the river Shyok, some water crossings, and a mix of good tarmac and some broken patches. You will stay overnight at Nubra Valley.
Day 6: Nubra
In Nubra Valley, you will visit Diskit Monastery for unending views of Nubra valley. The ancient monastery also has a massive statue of Buddha. You'll also visit the sand dunes at Nubra and go for a small trek in the mountains. You will stay overnight at Nubra valley.
Day 7: Nubra, Khardung La, to Leh (126 kilometers / 78 miles)
You'll have a morning ride towards Leh. The route takes you over to Khardungla Pass (5,359 meters) and then down to Leh Valley via the curvy mountain road to reach the city of Leh. The evening is free for leisure at Leh market.
Day 8: Departure
It's the end of the trip and time to go home. The route may change without notice due to political, social, or weather factors.
